When state legislatures are in session across the country this time of year, there are always comments made by lawmakers that spark controversy. State lawmakers are notorious for saying things and proposing legislation that is beyond controversial it is often just stupid! Maybe state lawmakers suffer from what is known as "political envy." Comment?

Johnson, 57, 344 Chad Baker St., Reserve, was arrested 3/23/15 and booked with resisting an officer and contempt of court. Comment?

Durell Christopher Melancon, 28, 333 NW Second St., Reserve, was arrested 3/12/15 and booked with theft by fraud - less than $750. Comment?

According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, at the Feb. 13 Krewe of Centurions Parade in Metairie, 17-year-old Brady Becker of Reserve incited a riot. Becker, those officials say, saw plainclothes deputies moving through the crowd and helped lead a chant of "F--- the police" and "F--- the pigs." Comment?

Four teenage boys have been arrested after St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's deputies say they followed a Reserve man to his home, and assaulted him after he apparently chastised them about wearing their pants sagging below their waist. The man, 36, received minor injuries from the assault that was reported Feb. 19 at 4:12 p.m., according to a Sheriff's Office statement released Thursday . Comment?
