A 56-year-old Menlo Park man was arrested Thursday in connection with the robbery and rape of a woman at a home in early December, authorities said. The alleged crimes came to the attention of the Menlo Park Police Department's investigations unit on Feb. 14. Detectives interviewed the victim and identified the suspect as Cedric Mark Williams. A man who was arrested by Menlo Park police in August 2015 and held for 48 hours in the San Mateo County jail has filed a lawsuit against the city in federal court alleging wrongful arrest based on mistaken identity related to racial profiling. A former teacher's aide pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of child pornography Wednesday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office. The charges come after an investigation into charges against Gustabo Rodriguez, 23, of felony oral copulation with a minor under 16 revealed a laptop and hard drive in Rodriguez's possession suspected to have child pornography downloaded onto them.
