My brother was recently detained in Florida while on vacation. He had an outstanding warrant in Florida, orange county, for bail jump after being arrested for DUI (2nd I believe) and driving on a suspended license and possibly probation violation. My son was arrested for DUI and driving on a suspended license. He was put into detox on 1/14 and entered a 28 day rehab program on 1/17. I've tried to contact the Orange County clerk to inform of circumstances but haven't been able to contact an actual person, I've been leaving messages for the Judge's Assistant. When I looked today they have issued a Capias. We live in Brevard County, the arrest was in Orange County and the rehab is in Osceola County. What should I tell him to do?

I was being charged CT-DUI WITH MINOR IN CAR OR BAL OF .20 OR HIGHER .. first of all, I was alone in the car and second even though the cop wrote that I smelled of alcohol when we got back to the station I blew .0000000 ... NO ALCOHOL ! He still insisted I am under the influence of something because my eyes are low and my speech. In my DUI charge 20+ years ago I was never arrested. I was only 19 or 20 years old and did not really understand what was going on. A Public Defender took my case and said I should plea for reckless so I did. A few days ago I was arrested for DUI, I did not do a breathalyzer test. Is it possible to get this one also reduced and what type of sentencing are we possibly looking at. I am now 44 years old married with 3 children not that it matters but at a different point in my life. How does it work is this my second offense to DUI? What could be the ramifications of this. Jail time? I don't want to lose my job and ability to provide for my family.
