I totaled my car and was arrested for a DUI. I have a hardship license but I need to buy a new car. Can I test drive a car?
I don't want to buy a car I have yet to test drive and 2 dealership let me test drive after showing my temporary hardship license yet today I was denied a test drive b/c of the hardship license. If yes where can I find the law to show them that I can b/c I don't think they know what to do so they just say no.
You need to contact an attorney immediately with that charge.
I am on DUI probation and was arrested for DWSL due to a discrepancy regarding the validity of my hardship. Do I contact my PO?
I am 5 months in my 12 month probationary period for a first DUI offense. I was issued a hardship pretrial and the dates are current. I was pulled over for speeding on the way to class (issued a warning) when the officer accused me of DWSL-with knowledge, handcuffed me and towed my car, but wound up releasing me upon signing a promise to appear in court notice. All of my fees/fines are paid off, and all obligatory courses completed- except community service. I am now facing jail time and a fine ON TOP OF a VOP, because I should have surrendered my initial hardship to acquire a new one post-conviction. Even though I was never directed to do so, and the dates are valid? My license gets fully reinstated on the 30th, I have this court date on the 27th. Do I postpone to get license to dismiss?
You need to talk with a local criminal defense attorney. The interplay between your new incident and probation are too...
Petition DMV
I submitted a question earlier about the 4 dui's. I've been told that I may have a chance if I petition the dmv and show that I was misrepresented by my lawyer. During my case my lawyers wife became terminally ill and died everything kept getting pushed back, for over a year, not really sure that he had my best interest at heart considering the circumstances, could this help me.
The best advice anyone on this board can give you is for you to go hire the best DUI attorney in Panama City that you...
What kind of punishment am I looking at for my 1st DUI ever in the military?
I got a DUI a few weeks ago. I wasn't on base, I pulled over to the side of the road like 250 yards away from the gate and was waiting on my friend to come off base to drive me onto base so that I can spend the night at his house. While pulled over 2 SFS personnel came up to my car and told me I couldn't wait where I was parked and if I was waiting on someone I need to wait at the visitors center. So I did what I was told and drove to the visitors center and parked. They came up to my car and asked for my license, registration, and proof of insurance. And that's where they busted me at, even though my friend was stand right behind my car.
People tend to focus only on the punishment and not the other aspects of a case which an attorney will look into when...
Does a DUI penalties transfer from state to state?
i was in Panama City Beach on spring break and got pulled over picking my friend up from a club and still had alcohol in my system and received a DUI. I'm from Minnesota and i've heard that some states don't transfer the DUI over and i wouldn't lose my license is that true?
Florida, like most other states in the country, is part of the Drivers License Compact. Under this compact, all member...
Please interpret this~ DL RESTRICTED (INTERLOCK DEVICE) FOR 12 MONTHS - CHRG 001 DL SUSPENDED - FOR 5 YEAR
I have seen this person driving.
If this person has a hardship drivers license from the DHSMV, the person is allowed to drive for business purposes only....
I rear ended a lady on the highway while DUI, spent a night in Jail, got probation and traffic tickets. Also license suspended
I am fulfilling my probation payments and traffic tickets about to be paid off too.. but the insurance company told me, that the person driving the car I rear ended has claimed an injury, it is over four months already and I still don't know what is going on, what should I do? the insurance company won't tell me how serious injury it was or how long is it going to take to recover. Basically I accept my fault, and want to be done with it asap, but the insurance company remains silent.
This is a civil law/personal injury question, so I'm going to change the practice area from criminal defense. Hope this...
