Governors Pardon? In 2003 my Florida Drivers License was permanently revoke for a felony fourth DUI that occurred in Feb 2002.
In July of 2002 I lost my 22 year old daughter to an alcohol related accident that would change my life for ever. Up until that point in my life I had unsuccessfully tried to control my drinking for 30 years. I placed myself into rehab in Aug of 2002. Last month by the grace of God and the Fellowship of AA I had the honors of celebrating 11 years of sobriety!!! I have numerous people that are willing to write letters in my behalf to support the fact that i have been clean since rehab. My psychiatrist from rehab whom I am still I contact with told me that he would write a letter also. My question is does it make sense to file for a Governor Pardon in an attempt to have my driving privileges restored. I babysit my grand children and need to drive to get the to and from school, doctors...

Can I receive a hardship license after a 2nd DUI?
I received my first DUI in June 2008. I had my driving privileges fully restored in August of 2009. I received a 2nd DUI in Feb 2010. My license was suspended for a period of 5 years. I have less than 2 years to go on the suspension. Am I eligible for any type of license or hearing prior to Feb 2015?
Call the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Administrative Review. They can look at...
If I got a DUI last week, can I still apply and possibly work at a restraunt that serves alcohol?
For example: Beef O Bradys, Chilis, etc
There is nothing to stop you from applying. It is possible that the employer may ask you if you've ever been arrested,...
What exactly does "adjudication withheld" actually mean? My son has two of those. one as a juvenile and one for adult dui.
When I look on the county sheriff web site under his SS number, I find the adjudication withheld in both the juvenile and adult records. I always thought that as a juvenile, your records were sealed. The juvenile offense was a sham offense. He did not participate in the crime, but because, 12 hours later, he was in the proximity of the stolen merchandise, he was judged as guilty as the perpetrators of the crime and was given juvenile sanctions, adjudication withheld. The other offense, was a plea bargain. What do we have to do in this situation to get this stuff expunged from his record so he can get a job in the future?
Withhold of adjudication means the judge took the plea but declined to enter a conviction on the record. Theoretically,...
Can I video record my own DUI sobriety test ?
If someone gets pulled over and the officer wants to administer a field test, can the person tell the officer they will only consent to it , if they are able to able use their phone to record everything. These days you can't trust the police since they lie to suit themselves, and to build their case. God will punish those dirty cops on the streets. I wouldn't want to rely on their dash camera since it may not be working , or they may turn it on or off as they please. So my question is can I ask for the entire encounter to be recorded ?
I don't see why not. There is no expectation of privacy in this situation.
Moving to Florida from out of state with DUIs in prior state(CA), insurance requirements.
Hi, I have a DUI that occurred on June 2012 in CA. I have finished all the requirements that the court needs me to do in California. I have moved to Florida in July 2014 and got Florida license. In CA, i am supposed to maintain an SR-22 until Nov 2016, and also have $100,000, $300,000 injury, liability, coverages on my insurance and I am still continuing to have SR-22 even after moving to Florida. Is there something similar that I need to get in Florida as well. Also, is there anything that i need to take care of insurance requirements.
My advise is that you call the good folks at DMV in Tallahassee (850-617-2000) and ask them directly. No one knows...
Should I be afraid of getting falsely accused of a second DUI ?
I have a DUI of which I was not convicted . I am always nervous about driving. I try my best to stay off the roads at nights since, most DUI seem to occur at nights. I don't even use mouthwash when I leave the house because of the alcohol content that can remain on your breath, and give a false reading. I always fear that any police that drives behind my car and looks up my registration, will see my previous DUI charge. I just feel that they will follow me, or go on a fishing expedition just to stop and check on me, or worst, start a DUI investigation. My first DUI experience is a lesson well learned, but I keep seeing being getting their 2nd's. Are they that reckless and addicted to alcohol, or did they get falsely accused by police who just want credit ? How do I stop being afraid ?
No, you should not, especially if you do not drink and drive. Make sure that you are all legal, the lights work, even...
