The five inmates that escaped the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility on Nov. 7 have been indicted on 15 felony counts including assault, robbery, riot and escape charges. Cody Rosenthal, 18, and four 16-year-olds, Joshua Crouse, Randall Gary, Jackson Dominick and Zachary Nehren, were arraigned in Kenai Superior Court Monday. Comment?

State officials plan to review the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility security policies after five inmates escaped following a riot that left two guards seriously injured Friday night. Karen Forrest, director of the state division of Juvenile Justice, said she is "saddened" by the incident that took place Friday when seven juvenile prisoners "engaged in a plot to overtake the staff at the facility and escape," according to an affidavit filed in Kenai Court Saturday. Joshua Crouse, left, and Randall Gary, right, both 16, escaped from the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility on Friday, Nov. 7 and eluded authorities until late Saturday afternoon. Authorities said five teenage inmates escaped a youth detention facility on the Kenai Peninsula after an assault on security guards Friday night, and two remained on the run until late afternoon the next day. Alaska State Troopers received a tip that Aaron James Duvall, 26, was located on Mile 2 of Island Lake Road. Troopers responded, set up a perimeter of the area and searched for Duvall from 7-10 p.m. but Duvall escaped, said trooper spokesperson Beth Ipsen. Comment?
