Arrested of supposedly driving with suspended license part 2
cont. part 2. DMV representative stated “you are lucky you kept this” and restored my license in a matter of minutes. I spoke to safe motorist and they advised me that the person who was handling my account failed to submit the information to motor vehicle and was no longer with the company. I have a court appearance on March 22nd at 9:30 a.m. which will be held in the Sullivan County Court in Kingsport TN. I am confident I will be exonerated of these charges and maybe even fight the speeding charge because I was watching my speed on both GPS and my speedometer. Is it possible to sue the driving school and the dmv for their negligence? Dmv sent me a congratulatory letter in 2009 that I obtain a clean driving records from 2007 to 2009. Can I represent myself to court in Tenesse?
You can certainly represent yourself in any court, but why would you want to. Even if you understood all of the rules...
I have a VA License with and out of state DUI
To get a restricted license I had to sign up for VASAP, but now VASAP is requiring me to complete VASAP and the out of state program. VASAP told me that if I just completed the out of state program (where I'm on probation) that I would already have my VA license, but since I received a restricted license I have to comply with both the out of state probation and VASAP. I've been told repeatedly that VASAP has no right to do so. Is there a simple answer here? Thanks.
The relevant law seems to be set forth in section D of 18.2-271.1 and I have included it below for your reference. As...
Virginia DMV authority in DUI case.
I agreed to a first offense DUI plea in Virginia. The court records do not require me to attend VASAP. What gives the DMV authority to withhold my drivers license until I complete VASAP?

What are my chances of beating a dui case with a .16 bac
I was involved in a accident where just I was involved and was unconscious at the scene when cops and paramedics came. They did a blood test at the hospital and results came back as. 16 .....I don't believe there we're any witnesses to the accident. It has been 11 months and there still isn't a police report available that my public defender is telling me. I was told my situation could work out in my favor because of the way it all accured and because there was a blood test done instead of the field tests....I'm just worried if maybe I should just go ahead and hire a lawyer or if I'll be okay with the court appointed lawyer
Court appointed lawyers have the same education and experience as retained lawyers. A .16 in virginia carries a...
