Do I have to take the road and written test after getting my license revoked for a .17 for my first offense?
I was cited for a dui back in May in Colorado. I got my license revoked for the 9 months with early reinstatement possible after 30 days. Do I have to take the written and road test to get my license back? My month is up on August 31st and this is my first offense.
Call your DMV or visit your Department of Licensing website. Typically you can get all the information regarding...
What should I do if I've done everything with my DUI except the Alcohol Class?
So, 4 years ago, almost to the day, I got a DUI. I paid all my fines, did all my community service, probabtion completed without a problem but I work a very demanding schedule and I move around constantly, (I work for a highway road construction company) and I haven't completed my alcohol classes. For almost 2 years I was with warrant and never had an issue. Since then I've gotten older and more mature and want to clear my name but I have court coming up in a month and still have something like 27 classes to complete.
Assuming you have a pending complaint to revoke your probation and still have 27 classes remaining after not completing...

Charged with Felony DUI and Leaving the Scene
I am a Pennsylvania resident who was visiting Colorado shortly after my father's death. I received a DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident as well as "serious" injury to someone. The charge was initially a misdemeanor, but then upgraded when the other driver was found to have a broken wrist. The other driver and passenger were released from the hospital in one-two hours and headed back on their way to California. I of course panicked and drove 2-3 miles up the road until stopped. I received a DUI 7 years ago in PA, which was not considered a conviction as I served the ARD program, however, this still remains on my driving record. I have absolutely no criminal record, volunteer on the weekends at hospice, and am a Clinical Research Scientist for cancer patients, just to gauge my character assessment. I am getting mixed signals from attorneys on the likelihood of my two major hopefuls: 1. Avoiding jail and 2. Having the felony reduced or deferred. I completely understand the severity of this and am NOT making light of it, but the penalties for someone with no criminal seem harsh to me. What are my chances of avoiding jail and felony?
It's a difficult question to answer with unknowns such as the jurisdiction prosecutor and judge one can't provide you...

How do I go about knowing whether or not I am able to drive until my hearing date?
I was cited my very first DUI last night 3/13 and do not have a hearing date until 4/23/15. I am not exactly sure what all entails on a suspended Colorado license, but I need to know whether or not I am legally able to at least drive to work or not...
The hearing date is for your first court appearance; the DMV hearing is separate. If you took a breath test and were...
Is it possible to plea down and not obtain an interlock for blowing .176, just over the max B.A.C of .17?
This is my first offense ever. I was cited when I drove only 2 blocks from where I was parked. My girlfriends mother in law called to remind her to come pick up her pup from her house since her husband forgot. I turned around on an empty trafficked road and did not realize there was a ditch to the right of the road- I just missed it, but got stuck in the mud just to the edge of the ditch. A policeman drove by to relieve me and had to report the incident and proceeded to give me a road side test. They then cuffed me and took me to the police station. In reading my citation, I blew .176 and according to the information on the back of the form if your BAC is over .17 you are required to take AA classes, license suspended and will have an interlock in your vehicle.
Yes, it is certainly possible, and your best chance at a reasonable solution is with the help of a lawyer, preferably...
