New Albany Law

Our son was given an underage citation at the Wisconsin football game this past Saturday, inside the stadium.
He is 18 and was not caught drinking in the stadium. We live in Ohio, he attends Eastern Kentucky Univ, and he was visiting with friends for the weekend. He is in the Homeland Security programs at EKU and his intent is work for one of several Government Agencies, DEA, ICE, etc.. As I review the paperwork he was given, I can not determine 1) if he was arrested, booked, or just cited and paid the fee to be released. This happened on 9/20/14 and his court date is 10/3/14. It will very tough for him either our son, or us to appear in court to refute these charges. I am not at all familiar with Wisconsin Law and need some advice as to how we should proceed. Please advise us on on best next steps. Thanks
The next best step and the only step to take now is to retain an experienced criminal defense attorney in Madison, WI...
What happens when you violate your probation after being convicted of a misdemeanor for DUI? What are the repercussions?
I was sentenced in March of 2013 and put on 2 years probation. I missed a meeting this month and was reported by my officer for violation. I have not had the money to do the DUI mandated courses but I have paid my fees on time every month. I am a first time offender and have not been in any trouble since my DUI conviction. I cannot afford an attorney at the moment. I do have a good reputation within my community and at my place of work. I don't know if I am looking at jail time or other serious repercussions.
Your question is a little difficult to answer accurately because of a number of unknown variables including: have you...
Can you violate your probation by just admitting to using drugs and not testing positive?
My sister in law was sentenced to intervention in lieu of conviction, including abstaining from illegal drugs and alcohol for 2 years, for a 5th degree felony of illegal processing of drug documents. She completed the intervention plan by completing drug court and attending rehab. She was in court for another charge and admitted to using drugs to the judge, which violated her in lieu of conviction agreement. She was immediately placed in jail for 180 (which I think I found is the minimum for a 5th degree felony of illegal processing of drug documents). What my main question that I want answered is: Can you be placed in jail for violating terms like this by just saying that you used drugs without a drug test? I feel like any persons can admit to using drugs (whether they did or not), but what is that statement without proof of the drug use?
Yes, a persons admission to using drugs can be enough to revoke a persons ILC. The new charge was also likely a...
I was intoxicated called cops and apparently made statement to officers that my family member threatened me with gun
Ok so family member and I went out got drunk. She is a ccw and had a handgun under seat which I know she is mad at herself for having in my car, not like she had anywhere else to put it before going out she was in my car anyhow cops confiscated it because under my stooper I think I was imagining that she held gun to.me telling she was going kill me I didnt make it home was 4 houses from where I lived I got out of car, and thought she was chasing me hid, I called cops told them that she told me you must die and she was possessed, yeah I know stupid, she was found in someones yard passed out, her gun still under seat where she left it, I know my aunt is probably mad given she spent days in jail, love her and I wasnt thinking straight what can I do to make things right what are penalties. Because if I wasnt under influence, which I know was irresponsible of me, but know she didnt do as I stated, scared, they wont let us talk, so I cant even apologize
So what is your legal question? What do you need help with? Tell her attorney your story. You may want to speak to...

I was an exchange student in USA and got DUI in 2010. I'm Ukrainian national, live in UAE and going to travel to Philippines. I have traveled since that time more than 35 countries with no issues or questions and this is the first time I see question in my visa application : have you ever been arrested? I assume yes, but do I need to mention it? Will Philippines embassy in UAE ( dubai) have record of my dui from 7 years ago in USA?
Contact a Philippine Embassy/Consulate ... this is not a US immigration law question.
Received OMVI 17 years ago when I was 17. Trying to switch jobs. Do I put yes when it asks if I received one?
Received an OMVI 17 years ago when I was 17. Trying to change jobs and the application states Have you ever been convicted of a crime (to include DUI, OVI and/or OMVI) other than a minor traffic violation?
