This person was set to appear in court for a trial on a 3rd DUI charge. It was postponed several times due to a death in family so a trial date was set. This person did not show up for the trial date and a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest with 750 bail attached. How much jail time now will there be on top of the mandatory 6 mo. for the 3rd DUI. This is in the state of NJ.
Probably none. He can be charged with contempt for failure to appear in court but usually the judge will just give him...
I have gotten my medical records from a hospital stay, out of work, accident report which state police were involved, now the prosecutor wants a letter from my endocrinologist. What does this guy want from me? The judge even said last time that this has gone on long enough but agreed again due to the medical issue. I have done the leg work not the lawyer. Please help. the officer has NEVER shown up in court and in his report stated he asked me if I needed to get anything out of my car and I said my diabetes bag and still arrested. Don't remember anything due to a low. I was out at a police fund raiser with the ex chief of police from that town.
You need to ask your attorney. My guess is the Judge is fed up with the defense not the prosecutor. The prosecutor is...
He already has a DUI and reckless driving violation. Lives at home.
More information is needed.
I pay my fines (direct deposit) and went to the IDRC as scheduled, but forgot about the assesment. Getting ready for finals and my move to a four year university took my mind off of it and I missed the deadline. I have medical records to show a Tramatic Brain Injury has affected my memory and in a situation like that I competely blanked on it. All I want to do now that I am settled is get back on the program and restore my license. What steps should I take?
You need to contact DMV/IDRC and reschedule your assessment. Unfortunately, until you do so you won't be able to renew...
I had blood drawn over the summer from my wrist and now im havn problems with my wrist and forarm on my right side.
Yes. However, you have time issues if you want to sue a government agency.
On the 10th I was pulled over for speeding and failure to mantane lanes my gps told gave me the wrong exit and I moved fast out the lane of the wrong exit. My friend in my car had a lot to drink so my car smelled like alcohol. I had 2 beers and admitted to it the officer administered the field sobriety test in-front of my car his was behind. I told the officer that I have had knee surgery and I have DDD that is degenerative disk disease were my disks in my spine are narrowing and I am about 60 to 70 lbs over weight. I was told I blew a .1 on the breath test.
No. But you definitely need an attorney.
My friend was drinking in our dorms with some of my friends. I was not drinking. He got bad and began vomiting blood, so I called campus police. The police only spoke to my friend and myself. My school has an "amnesty" policy, which I believe means I am immune to consequences. However, I don't know if this is protection from the school or protection from the state as well. Should I say he was drinking with me only to protect the other people?
You should tell the truth.
