A Mount Prospect man charged with breaking into his neighbor's apartment and attempting to sexually assault her was ordered held on $1 million bail Tuesday. Luis Del Peral-Velazco, 28, was charged with aggravated attempted sexual assault, home invasion and aggravated battery. Comment?

Phillip M. Puccio, 28, of Mount Prospect, was charged Saturday with one Class X count of involuntary servitude, one Class 1 count of involuntary servitude and one count of possession of a controlled substance. Schaumburg police, with assistance from the FBI, conducted three undercover prostitution operations in late January that led to the arrest of a Mount Prospect man and two out-of-state women. Comment?

A 20-year-old Wheeling man on Wednesday pleaded guilty to aggravated domestic battery for entering a home, grabbing a woman who was inside and threatening a man who was with her. Javier Noveron was sentenced to two years probation and 149 days in Cook County Jail in exchange for pleading guilty to the class 4 felony, which is punishable by up to three years in prison. Comment?

His court dates are Jan. 27 and Feb. 8. • Burglars stole two license plates, cigarettes and a car charger between 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19 and 9 a.m. Jan. 20 out of a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander van on the 900 block of East Golf Road. Mount Prospect police are searching for a man suspected in a carjacking at an apartment complex parking lot early Friday. The owner of a Chevrolet Tahoe, parked in the lot on the 2200 block of South Lexington Drive, had just gotten into the truck when the man knocked on the driver's side window and pointed a silver handgun at the victim about 5 a.m., police said. Comment?
