A pornographic Snapchat photo has led to charges against a Mount Prospect man who worked as a Northwestern University Police Department lieutenant, authorities said. Bail was set at $100,000 Wednesday for Ronald Godby, 53, of the 700 block of S. I Oka Ave., Mount Prospect. Comment?

Pope Francis has proclaimed 2016 the "Year of Mercy" for Catholics, and that theme is being vividly demonstrated at a Mount Prospect parish. In the coming weeks, St. Raymond de Penafort parish will begin housing a retired priest who was convicted of theft in 2008 for stealing roughly $40,000 from a Chicago church and using the money on vacations, laptops, massages and personal training sessions. Mount Prospect police officer Jack Brogan, who began serving on July 7, 1989, was promoted to sergeant last week. He served the department as a breath test operator and a field youth officer before distinguishing himself as an investigator. Comment?

A resident who helped Arlington Heights police catch a suspect charged with sexually assaulting a 97-year-old woman in her home last summer recently received a $700 award. The award, approved by the Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers Board, stems from a crime that happened on Aug. 20, when someone broke into an elderly woman's home in the area of Central Road and Dwyer Avenue through an unsecured window and sexually assaulted her. Comment?
