Illinois resident with BAIID. I had two high readings in August and just got request for explanation from SOS office. What now?
I started car initially with .000. Drove 14 blocks, using windshield washer much of the way. Starting again 15 minutes later, test was .068. Immediate subsequent tests were .057 and .028. I waited 10-15 minutes before next test, which was .044. I walked home, called Intoxilock and ordered a new unit, thinking the one I had was defective. After showering, brushing teeth and returning to car, I blew .000 3 hours later. I had nothing to eat or drink for several hours before I first started car. I've been alcohol-free since 2013 DUI and have my reinstatement hearing coming up. Will SOS see the wildly varied tests in such a short time as evidence the washer fluid had infiltrated car and skewed the results? Would just a letter explaining this do, or do I need more? I've had no other issues.
A detailed explanation such as you set forth here would help. Assistance in drafting the letter from your attorney or...
I was convicted of out of state dui in az but have an illinois license. Do I have to pay both states reinstatement fees?
I'm currently driving on a restricted drivers permit in illinois. My 9 months is almost up so I will be eligable for reinstatement this month but I'm scared that they won't reinstate me because I have not paid az reinstatement fee because I did not complete the 1 year ignition lock because the dmv here told me illinois does not require that. Will I get denied reinstatement in illinois because I did not pay az?
You need the AZ release as well so you'll need to pay that off.
Am currently driving on a rdp in illinois. My nine months is up this month. Will my license be reinstated this time?
I was convicted of dui in az in 2010. I finished my classes, jail time, and paied my fines. The only thing is that I just installed the ignition lock device in my car and payed $10 reinstatement fee to arizona. Is there any reason illinois would not reinstate me due to the ignition lock device being in my car? Does arizona still have a hold on my license? Or when illinois does an all state search will everything be clear since I payed my reinstatement fee?
Reinstatement is not automatic but likely. If there is anything outstanding in any other state the Secretary of State...

You need to check with the DMV to see what they say you need for full reinstatement. They will be able to tell you what...
How can you find out if a DUI was dismissed with or without prejudice?
DUI was dismissed as I was transported to another state because the DUI was considered a parole violation. I served 6 months for this. Now not sure if I should come back to Ill if it was dismissed without prejudice
Dockets from many courts are online. Check the website of the Court.
If a DUI case is dismissed without prejudice are they usually refiled when the offender comes back to the state where crime
Was arrested for DUI in Ill then transported to Ind. because was parole violation. Served 6 months there Now released what are the chances this would be refiled and I would be arrested again if I returned to Ill.

My attorney did not obtain dashcam or datamaster DVDs in DUI case. Is this normal?
During initial consult, my attorney promised review and copies of these DVDs for me after first appearance. After he sent me the police reports, he said it wasn't worth the effort and would charge me $500 to get them now. I believe my case centers on officers thinking I refused breathalyzer when I was questioning their cause. They recorded refusal, but the only proof is the DVDs. I am not able to obtain the DVDs on my own because they are in evidence, not yet public record. I have not pled yet. Pre-trial conference is approaching, and attorney is advising I plead guilty to OWI and refusal. If I admit refusal, the penalties are harsher and no possibility for deferred judgement. I would like to see the DVDs to see the facts for myself. Should my atty have gotten them?
As the client you have every right to see the videos before you entertain a plea. Talk with your attorney and tell...
