I was drunk sitting in my car. police came and talked to me but i dont remember what they said. I know i didnt do a breath test or anything. But when i went back to my car in the morning my registration papers were on the passenger seat. I would like to know if i can be charged with DUI, and if so i didnt receieve any papers. Will they mail them to my address on the registration? or should i not worry about this, as they would have to do more to charge me?
It would seem that you should be in a better position to answer that question than any lawyer (who was not there)....
I'm have been charged and through serval court dates already , I went throw legal aid but still thier are porsessing my Folder . I had this remanded 3 times already and now it's going to admin court , I'm very nervous because I still havnt been Abel to speak to lawyer about my situation , it kind of feels like no one is on my side and I'm scared, I have a good life now and have smartened up , I really just want these domestic charges dropped , is their anything you suggest on how to get these dropped , weather its anger management or a counselor or anything like that ? I just want to look good for the courts and not like a complete mess up just so when they determine the results on the charge it will look better on my behalf
I'm not sure what you mean by "admin court." Domestic assuault criminal charges are handled in criminal court....
I got pulled over and they wanted my to do a breath maching for alcohol and I couldnt do it. They called it refussal.
I had a dui over a year ago. What do I need to do. They want to keep my car
You need to consult with an attorney ASAP to discuss your rights and the circumstances of your case.
I was never read an implied consent advisory or given the option to refuse the taking of my blood after I was arrested for a DWI. Instead, a search warrant was issued that allowed for the taking of my blood, and they took it (without me having any say in it)? Is this legal? I thought they always had to read you an implied consent advisory? Thank you.
These are great questions and are central to a major attack on the DUI chemical testing process that is currently...
I was arrested in Saint Louis Park MN for DWI and blew a .13. This is my first offense. I am a high school teacher and do not work in the Saint Louis Park distirict or in Hennepin county. Do I need to notify my school district of my arrest or if I am convicted, do I need to tell them? I have been a teacher for 8 years and had my background checked at that time and do not anticipate another background check form them.
Your teaching contract or CBA probably specifies that you are required to disclose any arrests, but check that document...
If I am on probation and was drunk in a car with a driver that was arrested for DUI, but I was let go.. Will probation find out?
I am on probation for DUI and am not allowed to drink. Their was an open bottle in the car, which I admitted was not mine, but I had been drinking. The cop took my information and released me with no charges filed. I am required to report any police contact. I am worried if I tell my PO, he will look deeper into it and read the police report, which will be quite apparent that I had been drinking. Am I better off to keep quiet? What are the chances he finds out on his own? I was just recently given a longer leash with probation. I don't want to mess that up if I don't have to. I may be in just as much trouble if I come clean as I will be if they find out on their own. Should I just take my chances?
The fact that a police report was taken might be of concern. Contact your attorney to discuss what to do. Good luck.
I was charged with a 3rd degree DWI - (Blew .20) What are penalties for a 1st time offender realistically? (Hennepin County)
Car was impounded and plates were removed before I picked it up the next day. I did not have to go to jail that night. Blew .20. Trying to figure out what I will have to do when court comes. I don't have a ton of money and have talked to a few lawyers. Everyone says I just need a public defender. I am trying to possibly get it reduced to a misdemeanor vs. gross. Any private lawyers ever accept payment plans? Also, should I get a chemical assessment now or wait for it to be ordered? Thank you for your time!
There are many private attorneys that accept payment plans and most will take payment by credit card as well. If you...
