A 27-year-old man has been convicted in the 2013 fatal shooting of his girlfriend inside their upstate New York home. The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports a jury found Christian Benson guilty of second-degree manslaughter on Monday in the August 2013 shooting death of 30-year-old Kristi Babcock at their Cornwall home.
