How is it possible for a court to suspend my license 180 days for a DUI, but i have to wait 210 to get my license back?
On May 8, 2013 my license was suspended after i plead guilty to a DUI. The judge told me my license was suspended for 180 days and i would be eligible for restricted driving with an ignition interlock after 30 days. I turned down the offer after 30 days because it was pretty expensive just to drive to work. This week I was getting things in order to get my license back and I called my probation officer to get some details on what all i needed to do. She informed me that i still have another month of suspension. She told me that it wasn't just 180 days of suspension but a 30-180 suspension. Even though i refused the ignition interlock, the court is still holding my license as if i were doing 30 days of no driving and 180 of restricted driving. How is this possible?
Don't rely on your probation officer. Go to or call the bmv and find out the status. Also go pull the court order...
I am a student at Purdue and I was arrested this weekend for a public intoxication. I stayed in the drunk tank for 12 hours and released. I did not take finger prints and only thing i had to do was sign few forms as i was being released and they issued me a court date. I know public intoxication is a class B misdemeanor but can this affect my application for citizenship? I plan on applying within this year. This is my first offense in Indiana and my only other charge was a criminal citation for metro fare evasion in maryland. 1) how serious is a public intoxication? 2) will this charge affect my citizenship? 3) are public intoxication and disorderly conduct seperate charges? Thank you so much for your time.
You should speak with a licensed Indiana immigration attorney to discuss the potential immigration consequences. I...
I was given a DUI for having marijuana in my system while driving. I was originally pulled over for rolling through the stop sign, cop said he smelled weed in my car, so and so forth. Had to sit in jail. Got a court date. Got sentenced to 40 hours comm service and Evaluation @ A&D. Is there anything I can do to get this dismissed or something? I really wasn't intoxicated while driving and I think having to through the whole jailing process was enough time wasted for all of this. I don't want to make it sound like money is an issue but I have no plans on paying them the amounts I owe in court costs.. It's like throwing money away. What are my options and best outcome of the situation?
Did you have an attorney? If so talk to him/her about a Post Conviction motion. If you didn't have an Attorney that...

I just got arrested for OWI (D FEL) and endangerment. I have a prior OWI in Indiana and one in Michigan. What am I looking at?
I was over the legal limit and ran my car into a building and slightly injured 2 people. I have a prior DUI in another county in Indiana and another DUI in Michigan. I bonded out and need to know what I am looking at and what to do.
You have a lot going on here. You really need to contact an experienced DUI attorney in your area without delay.
I was convicted for my third DUI in ten years in March of this year. I spent three months in inpatient rehab this year and have been alcohol free for over a year. I am in real estate and have been severely underemployed and facing bankruptcy due to my irresponsibility. Post Conviction Relief seems like my only avenue to pursue to get my drivers license back.
Post Conviction Relief is a process where you allege that your conviction is in violation of the Indiana and/or United...
