Dui conviction vs Dui (Ard Disposition)
I have a dui controlled substance charge. I likely qualify for ard because I have no prior misdeameanor or felony convictions. While on ard, I have to wait a year to get it expunged from my record. I have a bachelor's degree and I am driving myself crazy thinking how this charge mat affect me finding a decent job for the time being. I know ultimately every employer is different but I feel it would be more acceptable if it was a simple alcohol dui but no legit company wants a druggie even if it's not a conviction but a ard disposition.
Am I thinking too much into this a shot just apply for jobs because at the end of the day it's not a conviction (and never will be) and jobs only care about convictions?
Or is this something I should genuinely be concern ed about?
Or is this
Employers care more about JUST a conviction, they care about a course of conduct. Thus, even it's imperative you do...
I have a dui and qualify for ARD. I need to have my CRN evaluation by May 10th. I was going to call first thing Monday morning (April 27th) and schedule it for May 8th. Do you think almost 2 weeks is enough time to fit me in. I believe its only 20 minutes worth of questions so I would like to be believe that I can be squeezed in. I sent an email today stating who I was and when I wanted to schedule and I also left a voice mail because theyre closed on weekends so they will receive it first thing Monday. I am still going to call Monday and schedule it verbally but I just paranoid that theyre going to be so booked that they cant squeeze me in by May 8th. The lady who I spoke to runs the evaluation said that it doesn't take that long. Do you think I can be squeezed in by May 8th
It's possible, just remember there are several facilities all over Pennsylvania that perform this evaluation try...
I was recently charged with dui in PA. I qualify for ARD but I have to get a CRN evaluation first. I was told that the CRN is what determines whether or not you have to partake in drug and alcohol classes while on Ard. Is there any advice that you can give me on how to approach the CRN in order to avoid these classes while on Ard?
I think it would be an ethical violation for an attorney to coach you on how to handle a CRN eval.
I'M UNDER A DOCTORS CARE AND TAKE MEDICATION. THEY FOUND A LOW LEVEL WAS DETECTED STOPPED FOR A DUI? CAN THIS BE LEGAL?
ON DISABILITY, 1ST OFFENSE, NO DAMAGE, HAVE PERSCRIPTION. MUST STAY ON MEDICATION MY DOCTOR IS AWARE OF THE DUI. LEVEL WAS 60 NANOGRAMS, RESIDUAL. THE OFFICER BROUGHT ME HOME BUT NEVER GAVE ME BACK MY BAGS. DIDN'T REALIZE UNTIL AFTER AN HOUR. CALLED STATION LEFT MESSAGE THEN 911 HE CAME IN A FLASH AND RETURNED THEM AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THIS DISTURBED ME VERY MUCH BUT NO ONE WANTS TO MENTION THIS. THEY ARE HOLDING THE DRUG AND ALCOHOL AND CRN EVALUATION FOR ME? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
You should fight the DUI. Find an attorney who has won these cases.
Gather your medical records.
