Medford Law

I filed a surcharge appeal from an auto accident and am awaiting a hearing.
In April 2012 I was involved In a small fender bender. An SUV swerved into my lane, without signaling, trying to get around a stopped vehicle turning left. Because of this I struck the rear of his vehicle at a low rate of speed. There was NO damage to the other SUV and minimal damage to my sedan (grille damage estimated at $275) we decided not to pursue. 6 months later I receive notice the other driver is going after my insurance company. I am found at fault and the other driver is paid out $21,000 for a whiplash claim (14 k medical 7 k payout) he did not claim any property damage. I have picture of both vehicles on the day of the accident. And need to gather more evidence to help my appeal. Any suggestions?
What is your basis for an appeal? Your insurance company does not have any motivation to pay more on a claim then they...
Commercial Drivers License - Chemical Test Refusal. Suspension Length? CDL DWI OUI NH Massachusetts
I had a commercial Drivers License. Pulled over, and refused Chemical Test and Field Sobriety. I am currently awaiting trial. I received 2 "Notice of suspension" letters. 1 for 180 Days - Right to operate Motor Vehicle. 2. 365 Days CDL Chem Test Refusal. My question, Will the state restore my operating privileges (Non Commercial) after the 180 Day mark? Please let me know if you need any further details. Licensed in NH, Refused in Mass. Thank you!
You need to re post this question under NH since you are licensed there. As for Mass, the RMV needs to clear you as...
I recently was charged for a 1st offense oui, will it be easy to get a hardship license?
I work for a jewelry company that hosts parties and events. Using public transportation wouldn't work because I need to carry merchandise and supplies with me. However, I don't have a set schedule because I told my boss I can't work until I get this license. I have enrolled in a 24d program. Does this prove a legitimate hardship?
This the RMV website link on what you need to show to get a hardship license. Good luck. http://www.mass.gov/rmv/...
If I wasn't seen driving and my breathalyzer is out of the case do I have a chance to fight?
I'm accused of dui(3rd) last one was 10 years before, I was seen arguing with a guy that says I hit his car when the police arrived and arrested me for dui. If the breathalyzer is not allowed and police never witnessed me driving do I have a fighting chance in winning???
Would have to know more facts about the case. You should speak to an attorney about your case. Best of luck!
How to seal record in Massachusetts after acquittal ?
I was charged with OUI in Massachusetts 2 years ago, however The case finally went to trial and I was found "Not guilty." I will be entering the workforce shortly in the financial services industry, and usually a spotless record is required. I would like to seal my record to minimize the impact of that arraignment however I am unsure on how to proceed. I would also like to know how sealing the record may affect information that private background checking companies may report to my potential future employers.
Good for you, that is a smart thing to do and doing so before sending out job applications is a very good idea. You...
I received a dui in MA. Araignment 3/30. When will my offense show on a CORI?
I was taken to hospital and received a ticket while in the hospital. I'm pleading guilty. First dui. Im looking for a job and want to know if my charge will appear on a cori check immediately? If I receive a CWOF will that change anything in relation to a CORI check?
It will show up after your arraignment date. Specifically on the arraignment date or the day after. With regard to a...
DUI in CO - Moved to Boston. Questions about in-home jail and community service.
I got my 1st DUI in Denver on 12/5/14. I pled guilty on 2/19/15. My lawyer set up a plea deal where the DA would agree to a BAC of .199 (instead of .207) and I would do 10 days of in-home jail in Boston. However, I still have not been sentenced - this will be 5/8/15. Can I organize it and do the 10 days now or do I need to wait until sentencing? I have a lawyer in CO, but he hasn't responded to my voicemails, emails or msgs left with reception. He stopped responding 3 wks ago, right after my DMV hearing. Our contract is through sentencing, so he should still respond. (This is its own issue) Does anyone have any ideas about doing the in home jail? Are you aware of companies that do it in this area? Also, as far as Boston goes, what kinds of places count for community service? Thank you
this sounds strange, my guess is you might be mistaken about what happened in Court. It is possible you got a...
