The McAllen Police Department has issued a warrant of arrest for Pharr resident Joseph Sustaita in connection with burglary of a building, a news release from the department states. The release alleges Sustaita, 24, took an undisclosed amount of money from a business in the 1900 block of South 10th Street in McAllen in a robbery early Sept. Comment?

An anonymous tip led police officers to arrest three men in connection with a theft ring that netted the trio several items including a lawn mower tractor and several auto body parts. Javier Sanchez, 54, Jose Enrique Torres, 31, and Heriberto Torres, 28, were arrested and charged in connection with the theft of property after someone called to report two of the three men, Mission police spokesman Lt. Police arrested a 27-year-old man Wednesday wanted in connection with a 2014 home invasion that left two men dead. Jaime Horacio Saldivar, 27, was booked into the Hidalgo County Jail on Wednesday on a $2.5 million bond after he was charged with first-degree felony counts of murder and aggravated robbery. Comment?

Transportation while he serves 30 days in jail on the weekends, as part of a plea deal for being found guilty of criminal negligent homicide in connection to a wreck in March 2014 when he was speeding in the company's van. District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez said while the exact speed couldn't be determined, investigators agreed Mendoza was speeding in the 30 mph zone when he struck Enrique Alvarado, 44, damaging the van's headlight and hood at the intersection of 1st and Coma streets, which is one of the main intersections in the small city. Authorities didn't act on a woman's rape allegations against a Honduran man in the U.S. illegally until after he came back months later to kidnap and rape her again in front of their 2-year-old child. Jose Amaya-Vasquez, a Honduran man that has entered the U.S. three times illegally, was scheduled to appear in court Monday after allegedly kidnapping and raping his ex-girlfriend during a four-day drive in May from Kansas City, Mo., to Camden, N.J. The woman first called police after she claimed she was raped by Amaya-Vasquez Feb. 14 in her home in Kansas City. Comment?
