Lumberton Law

I had court today and was sentenced to ten days mandatory jail. The judge set a day for me to go in to serve the term. Is there anyway I can appeal this and get weekends or SLAP or house arrest? She would not approve weekends for me. Burlington county.
did you have an attorney? you have 20 days from the date of the sentencing to appeal.
I was caught driving on a DUI suspended license in NJ. I know there is a ten day mandatory jail term for the first offense, but is there any alternatives to this? I am 8 months pregnant and don't want to go into labor in jail.
The judge's answer to that is always, "You should have thought of that before you drove while suspended." You need to...
I got a DUI suspended license in NJ which I am getting restored December 25, 2013. I got pulled over on November 22, 2012 and have court in NJ for Driving on Suspended . The court date is after my license restoration date. Will this help me get the ticket dismissed? The cop said it would get dismissed since it is after my restoration date, but the lawyer that I spoke to said its going to be hard.
I don't see much of an issue here. On the date you were ticketed for driving on a suspended license you were driving on...
He was arrested for a dui and charged for a tier 1 dui as a 1st offense and only 3 month suspension. Since his daca doesn't expire until this October, is there any way he can still be considered? He is a good hard working person! Everyone makes mistakes and I can't believe how many US citizens can get away with worse crimes and still be forgiven in society but one terrible mistake for an unfortunate person and their whole life shatters. Is there any hope? Please?
It is not entirely clear to me either way that a traffic offense of DWI would be a disqualifier. Speak with a...
He only got a 3 month suspension with fines. He is already protected with DACA as of right now, but it expires this fall. I know (unfortunately only after he got arrested for the dui) that dui's are significant misdemeanors that typically disqualify a person from being eligible for DACA. Is here any hope out there that he may be able to renew or re-qualify for DACA? We tried fighting with what we thought was a reputable DUI attorney. He had great testimonials and was very professional, but when it came to game day, he simply went for the settlement and not the fight. It was very expensive and we didn't have any other options. I've researched but haven't found many cases similar to ours on the internet, hence why I am asking the question. I'm seeking advice from immigration lawyers as well.
Yes, it is possible. Make sure to talk to a reputable immigration attorney.
I was homeless and living in my truck at that time. My officer said I could move to NJ with family where I had stability. I had difficulty getting into classes and violated. I eventually got the classes done and filed in Florida, but not the required community service. Public defender in Florida advised me that it would not be accepted because it was worked in NJ. I was also advised that I may be charged with felony absconding even though I had permission to move. I only see a no extradite VOP active. I now have a full time job, my own home, and a life in NJ. Is there any way for me to resolve this without going to Florida and turning myself in?
This question needs to be addressed to a FL attorney
I am supposed to turn myself in to do 10 days jail time for driving on a DUI suspended in NJ. Later this month. I have a family emergency and find myself needed to move to Florida ASAP. What would happen if I moved and did not serve my jail time?
You'll get a bench warrant, and when you get picked up on it in the future you may serve more than 10 days in jail.
