  • Lugoff man arrested for attempted murder

    A 30-year-old Lugoff man is in jail on three counts of attempted murder after allegedly firing several shots into a car, injuring two of the three people inside. The shooting took place at the Trinity Apartments on Church Street in Camden late Thursday morning.

  • KCSO arrests three after receiving tip

    Kershaw County Sheriff's Office narcotics investigators arrested one woman and two men after Sheriff Jim Matthews received a tip Friday morning from a citizen that the trio appeared to be using drugs while parked at a BP station on U.S. 1 in Lugoff. According to a KCSO press release, investigators arrested Terri M. Watts, 32, of Haile Street Ext., Camden; James F. Grimball, 35, of Hunters Mill Court, West Columbia; and Michael Lee Brass, 35, of Pine Loop Drive, Blythewood.

  • Deputies seize meth and ecstasy at Lugoff gas statio...

    Three individuals were arrested as part of a seizure of methamphetamine and ecstasy after deputies were alerted by a citizen that people may have been using drugs outside of a gas station. Terri Watts, 32, James Grimball, 49, and Michael Brass, 35, were all arrested in the incident with Watts and Grimball are facing drug charges while Brass was arrested for a probation violation warrant, according to the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office.

    According to a KCSO press release, deputies arrested Andrew William McManus, 29, of Cubs Path, Camden, and Andrew Lee Tuten, 30, of Burdell Road, Lugoff, on May 21 and charged them with trafficking meth. Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said in the press release that deputies responded to an address on Old Stagecoach Road in east Camden to follow up on a reported shooting and burglary call that happened earlier in the morning.
