A former Lucedale resident had a deal to avoid a felony record for embezzling thousands from her former employer, but she blew the deal when authorities arrested her in Lamar County on a charge of felony shoplifting. In September, Katelynn Danielle Jones, 23, had been placed in a pre-trial diversion program for three years after admitting she embezzled $7,189 from Four Mile Truck Stop between July 2 and Aug. 30, 2013. A Lucedale man is in custody, and sheriff's deputies are searching for two others wanted on theft and burglary charges. He was arrested June 23 in George County after Jackson County sheriff's investigators confirmed a piece of equipment found in his vehicle was stolen from a Moss Point business, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said. A Lucedale man has been taken into custody, charged with a theft from one Jackson County business and the commercial burglary of another, while law enforcement officials are seeking two other men believed to have been involved, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said Monday. Jeffrey Brian Strickland, 48, of Howell Tanner Chapel Road in Lucedale, was arrested in George County last Thursday after investigators found a piece of equipment in his vehicle which had been stolen from a Moss Point business two weeks prior.
