    A man was jailed on intoxication assault and child endangerment charges after a crash that left five people injured, one seriously, Sunday evening in North Lubbbock. Officers responded to the intersection of Fourth Street and Texas Tech Parkway just before 6:30 p.m. after reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles, said LPD spokeswoman Kasie Whitley.

    A person is recovering from serious injuries in University Medical Center after a Sunday afternoon crash just before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Texas Tech Parkway and 4th Street. Police were called to the scene to find find five victims in a Ford F-150 pickup after a Toyota 4Runner was said to have ran a red light, according to a Lubbock Police Department news release.

    Joe Lee Harrison, a 54-year-old Lubbock man, was arrested Saturday night after being accused of shooting a gun at his neighbor from his roof. Police were called to the 1900 block of 45th Street in Central Lubbock after by Harrison's neighbor, according to a Lubbock Police Department police report.

    A 43-year-old man arrested in August in connection with a Lubbock County Sheriff's Office narcotics investigation resulting in the seizure of nearly four pounds of methamphetamine is facing federal drug and weapons charges. Federal grand jurors returned an indictment last week against Enrique Maldonado for a count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

    A 20-year-old man accepted a 25-year prison sentence Friday morning after admitting to raping a 62-year-old woman three years ago at her home in the Dunbar neighborhood. Tyzavier Caraway pleaded guilty before Judge William Eichman in the 364th District Court to a count of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony that carries a punishment of five years to life in prison.

    A police report on Thursday revealed new details about a shooting and assault that left one brother dead and another wounded Wednesday evening in a North Lubbock neighborhood. Lubbock police received reports of shots fired in the area of North Detroit Avenue and Baylor Street around 7:15 p.m. Officers found one man, 36-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez, with serious injuries and his brother, 34-year-old Elias Rodriguez, with moderate injuries in the home in the 2800 block of Baylor Street.

Police tell us it only took 45 seconds for this suspect to walk up the driveway, skip over the first vehicle that was locked, rummage through the unlocked vehicle and take off with a gun.

Laron Dewayne Godfrey was indicted by a Lubbock County grand jury on third-degree felony charge of assault, domestic violence/strangulation in connection with what police report was an attack on his girlfriend during an argument over money owed to her March 14 at a Lubbock apartment.

    The Littlefield Police Department has arrested 17-year-old Patrick Jordan Johnson after he fled from police but was soon after apprehended. The department reported Johnson is a person of interest -- but not a confirmed suspect -- in a string of vehicle burglaries from Aug. 21 - 22, according to a Littlefield PD news release.
