Is there any way to get a court hearing moving faster due to personal family matters occuring
I was given a dui back in may in a different county than where I live, and according to my attorney we have not even recieved the states "evidence kit"yet. I am the sole caregiver for my mother and her condition is worsening. I need to know what im facing since there is no one else to care for my mom. I have never been in trouble before so I am astounded at the length of time resolve of my case is taking. I was also wondering if I made a mistake in choosing an attorney in their county instead of mine
This is a matter you should discuss with your attorney. Justice is a slow process. There are ways you can speed it up,...
Ignition interlock question
I'm on probation for a 2/5 dui. I registered a fail (only one, no other violations) on my ignition interlock device. It's been a month since that happened and I just did my monthly calibration. The interlock company didn't mention anything about it. Will my probation officer find out about it and violate me? I'm up to date on all fines, classes, and community service.
Your PO may find out about the fail.
Do I need a DUI lawyer for first offense? What type of ID is available until my actual court date?
I was arrested for a DUI at a road block. This was my first ever major offense with the law besides minor traffic violations over 5 years ago. Felt like I did well on the field sobriety but I admitted to the officer I had drinks earlier in the night and I'm sure he smelt it on me, so I took the positive/negative test, it was positive, and I was placed under arrest. When I arrived at the jail, the arresting officer administered the actual breathalyzer test and I blew .130 and .129 respectively. We were making small talk during this time and he talked me through the whole DUI process and stated that "he didn't believe a lawyer would be necessary. If I showed up to the trial by myself he would be willing to drop it to a reckless and save me some money on a lawyer." Should I trust his word?
There are a number of complicated issues involving your case. You absolutely should retain an experienced dui defense...
In Georgia, when someone gets DUI, do the police suspended or revoke their driver license?
If someone is charged with a DUI and does jail time do they get to keep their drivers license or is it revoked or suspended?

This is the criminal defense forum on this website. You need a medical malpractice type of forum.
If I administered a DNA test and the result was negative is it time to get a lawyer?
I administered a DNA test to a man and who he thought was his 5 year old daughter. The results came back negative and he asked the court for a retest bc he believed I had some kind of connection with the other party. Do I need a lawyer since my credibility is being challenged?
Done things aren't clear. Why would you administer the test? Why would the court consider a test that you, as you are...
