Do I turn my friend in or take her to a Recruiter to join the Armed Forces?
My friend was charged with a DUI in one of the most racist cities in Michigan. Her first offense ever. She is 23, with a High School Diploma, with a 3.7 GPA, went to 2 State colleges, with enough credits to qualify as a Junior, and has nothing else in her background, but working. Her parent's are willing to move her out of town because they don't live in Michigan anymore, but the courts wouldn't allow it. So now she has no license, no car, no money, no job, and has been evicted. She lives house to house with relatives and everybody is tired of it. Why can't she leave the state for a better life and do what the courts ask- with her parent's who are willing to get the job done!!! Or can she go to the Military, because she's also interested in that.
No military with charges pending. Ever. She is ineligible to enlist. With a conviction, that door will be shut as...
Can I get my license back without a lawyer?
I was arrested in December of 2015 for my 2nd DUI. I stopped drinking the day I was arrested and have the AA documentation to help prove nearly 2 years of sobriety. I was originally placed on 18 month probation in sobriety court but I was released after 13 months. By the time of my hearing I will have been sober for over 6 months on my own outside of sobriety court. I still go to AA, have a sponsor, and 6 letters of reference. My question is, will the DAAD hearing officer even consider the application of someone without representation? I will have been sober for 2 years at the time of my hearing and am confident in my knowledge and experience in AA. Do I have a chance without a lawyer or will the officer reject me right off the bat?
It is possible to win a DLAD hearing without a lawyer; however, your odds of winning with an experienced attorney are...
How long after a positive drug test with JAMS will my probation officer be notified?
Was a heroin addict clean for over a month testing 4 times a week. Reinjured my knee relapsed and tested positive for 2 days. I have documentation of being at urgent Care on the day of the failed test if that helps at all. First ever charge and first violation. Should I try to talk to my PO before she files a report and how long does it take for her to do that/me get a show cause notice?
The 16th district court acts pretty fast, so I bet you'll be notified rather quickly. You will get an opportunity to...
What's the likely outcome? Plea offer? Will a plea will likely reduce court and fine costs? My financial situation?
I'm 22 year old. I have an OWI charge in a suburban town of Wayne County adjacent to my own home town. BAC of 0.16. Several tests were done the day of the stop, with different, lesser results. I take medications, among them Diltiazem and Atenelol, etc. so I limit drinking. I don't know if drugs affected reading or a couple of drinks did that. I had no prior record. Left bar to avoid a bad situation (experienced sexual assault very recently). Because of the incident, lost my car, my work as a auto delivery driver, money to pay for college and take care of terminally ill parent (my only family in area).
I would contact a local experienced DUI attorney in your area immediately and cease talking about your case online.
Should I file an appeal?
I have been on probation since August, 2016. My conditions of probation are PBT testing once a week randomly. I was granted permission at the end of March to go on vacation with my family, as long as I submitted to a ETG test upon my return to Michigan. I went to take my ETG once I got back and couldn't produce any urine. My thoughts are that I got a shy bladder at the test. Now I've never had any issues urinating before. I would've never agreed to the terms had I known I had a shy bladder. So after not completing the test, I was told by the manager at J.A.M.S that I could return the following morning to try again without it being considered a voided test. Well I went the following morning and had the same problem. So then I went to the probation department and asked if there was any alternative test I could take due to my shy bladder. I was told no that it was too late and I would be recieving a show cause for a violation of probation. I just had my court hearing today and the judge told me that I was dodging the test and that I should've taken it upon myself to go to the hospital and get my blood drawn for testing. So should I pursue an appeal?

DL Suspension do to OWI 2.
My license has been suspended for a year, but I honestly have no intention to discontinue driving. Between my 2 jobs, little league coaching, and lack of a metro Detroit mass transit system....I mean it's impossible. Can I circumvent this problem by obtaining a DL in another state?
This is a public website. You have just written that you intend to commit a crime. That admission can be used against...
