  • Hudson standoff ends with arrest

    A roughly four-hour police standoff with a suspect last seen inside a Barbara Lane residence late Saturday morning ended without incident, police said, when the suspect was located and taken into custody. Police said the incident began around 11 a.m. Saturday, when officers responded to the residence after receiving a report that Christopher Skelley, 42, was at the residence, allegedly in violation of a court order.

  • Plea deal reached in DUI crash

    Litchfield resident Devin Quinn, 22, pleaded guilty this week in Superior Court to a single felony charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated in exchange for a fine and deferred and suspended jail time. Quinn, of 8 Griffin Road, was sentenced to two years in Valley Street jail, all deferred for two years, then suspended for four years, providing he remains on good behavior and complies with other terms of the agreement.
