    In Municipal Court Friday, an Oct. 11 pretrial was set for Patience D. Hogan, 24, Oak River Boulevard, New Cumberland, W.Va., who pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft. Marion D. Sias Jr., 70, Elkton Road, Lisbon, was fined $500 and was sentenced to two years probation for littering on public property.

  • Bank robber sentenced to four years

    Michael F. Lewis, the man who robbed a Lisbon bank for $150, was sentenced by Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam to four years in prison. Lewis, 34, West Pershing Street, Salem, pleaded guilty to the second-degree felony robbery charge on Thursday and asked for immediate sentencing.

    In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Scott M. Anderson, 49, Deerfield, was fined $900, had his license suspended for a year, sentenced to 12 days in jail and required 30 hours community service for marked lanes and OVI first offense amended from second offense. Richard L. Howell, 36, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $250, credited with four days served in jail and required 30 hours community service for domestic violence for punching Jennifer Birchak in the eye on Monday.

    In Municipal Court Tuesday, Douglas A. Robinson, 42, Pennsylvania Avenue, was fined $750, sentence to 90 days, 88 suspended, and placed on probation two years for no operator's license, third offense. Mallory D. Stowers, 25, W. Sixth Street, was fined $250, sentenced to 180 days, 177 suspended, and placed on probation three years for theft.

    The person was found to be the landlord. - Officers responded to a 1000 block Salem Parkway business at 12:54 p.m. Thursday where a company representative said an employee had been fired earlier in the day and then an unknown substance was found on the floor.
