  • Teen charged with attempted murder

    An 18-year-old Millwood man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly slashing his grandmother's throat and stabbing her in the back Friday morning. At approximately 3:40 a.m. on Friday, Grayson County Central Dispatch received a call from a man stating that his grandmother was bleeding from the chest and back and appeared to have been stabbed, according to Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins. 1 comment

  • Four arrested after robbery attempt

    Around 6:02 a.m. Sunday, Grayson County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Fred Norder responded to a prowler complaint at the 7700 block of Brandenburg Road to find several male subjects hiding under cars, with one of them carrying a sledgehammer. According to a press release from the GCSO, after speaking with the homeowner, Norder learned that one of the subjects damaged the front door of the home as he tried to "break it down with a sledgehammer."

  • Murder, sex abuse charges top indictments

    A Leitchfield man charged with murder and a former Grayson County High School teacher charged with sexually abusing a student top this month's indictments handed down by the Grayson County Grand Jury. 40-year-old James L. Garrett, of Leitchfield, was indicted last week on the charges of murder; tampering with physical evidence; robbery in the first degree; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and persistent felony offender in the first degree in relation to the June 20 shooting death of David Smith. 1 comment
