If I'm on conditional discharge for driving on suspended and haven't compleated some things what are the most likley result
I was put on 18 months conditional discharge with fines and community service but I have 16 months to complete community service and no set monthly pay or appear. I have not gotten any service hours done and haven't made a payment on fines yet due to recently finding employment. I checked judici and I had a court date labeled "pay or appear" in October and didn't go but no warrant has been posted. I have a court date labeled "compliance hearing" in about a week. I'm only 5 months into my conditional discharge also. I'd like to know what to expect at my compliance hearing
There is almost certainly a warrant. They don't post them online. Lawyer up ASAP
Did the police have the right to come onto my property and question/arrest me when I was never actually seen driving by a cop?
So I was on way home at about 9am after a night of fun, and I decided to sit in my driveway and have a cigarette before I went inside. Keep in mind my driveway is about a half mile long and winds through the woods and there is a "private property, no trespassing" sign at the entrance to the driveway. As I was sitting there, a cop comes all the way down my driveway and pulls up behind me. He claimed that there was a call made about my driving (I was given no details about the call or where I was seen). Long story short, I was arrested for DUI.
One does not have to be seen driving a vehicle to be cited for a DUI in Illinois. As long as one is deemed in "actual...

I hit a semi that a cop had pulled over and was turning it around on a two lane highway at night with no signaling of any type or anything indicating the road was blocked up ahead. I didn't see that semi was stretched across the whole road till last minute. I tried to avoid hitting it but failed doing so after about 15 min of standing around the cop came up and was talking to me he asked if I had bee n drinking. I said no but he asked me to take field sobriety I said I would not submit to anything. He them arrested me took me back to the jail then 5 hrs later took me to hosp with a warrant for a blood draw. I advised them there was no injuries to anyone that this was illegal unless there was a type a injury. End result they still never got my blood because of a illegitimate threat I made..
I know you would like a nice neat answer but no one can give this online. You have way too much at stake to be...

Does a DUI have a statute of limitations?
My 71 year old father was pulled over for failure to pull over enough while driving around a traffic stop. They ran his license and found a 22 year old DUI in another state. He was arrested & spent 5 days in jail. Returns to court in October with possibility of more time.
There is a statute of limitations with regard to charging someone with any crime. However, don't confuse the statute of...
