    A champion gamer's decision to open fire Sunday afternoon during a video competition - killing two people and wounding nine others before killing himself - has prompted calls from gamers for more security at esports tournaments. "It's very clear that we need to be more proactive for 2019 and beyond," tweeted Joey Cuellar, the tournament director for the Evolution Championship Series, an esports event that focuses on fighting games.

    Police have made public 22 more video clips of body-worn camera footage showing gun-wielding officers encountering tourists on Las Vegas Boulevard after the Oct. 1 shooting that killed 58 people and injured hundreds. Wednesday's public records release provided images of officers with rifles in parking lots, stopping motorists, advising hotel residents which properties were open and searching empty casino floors in the hours after the massacre.

    Lombardo said that with the closure of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's 10-month investigation, no one else will be charged in connection with the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. Paddock, who fired across Las Vegas Boulevard from a hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel into a concert crowd of 22,000 people, was the only gunman, Lombardo said.
