Editor: Your Jan. 14 edition included a story about a homeowner who ended up shooting the intruder, and it makes me want to share information that can help anyone in a similar situation have a better outcome. Detectives assigned to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public's assistance in locating a grand theft suspect who stole lawn equipment from local business owner on Sunday, Dec. 27. According to detectives, the victim was performing lawn maintenance work about 10 a.m. in front of Pete's New York Barber, 1608 S. Belcher Road in Largo. During this time, the suspect was seen entering the parking lot behind the business and parking his vehicle next to the victim's vehicle and trailer. Comment?
