    A Key West man sentenced to a combined 4 1/2 years in prison in two separate grand theft auto cases told police early in their investigation that he had trouble keeping the details of his alleged crimes straight because "he does a lot of drugs," according to court document. Monroe County Circuit Judge Mark Jones sentenced Timberlen Terrell, 19, to two years in prison on Oct. 24 for grand theft of automobile and felony possession of marijuana.

Christopher Thomas John Yarema, 43, and Stephanie Lynn Burnham, 35, face aggravated assault, battery, and property damage charges after they punched and slashed at two gay men from Hollywood, California who had rented a boat with a dinghy to go exploring near Wisteria Island, a federally-owned uninhabited island just off Key West.

    A 29-year-old Key West man was jailed after police said he threatened to kill someone with a two-foot-long samurai sword. Steven Solstad told police he paid $20 for the silver single-edge sword with a pointed tip, as Officer Todd Stevens described it in an arrest report released Monday.
