Kennebunkport Law

Will I be able to get a job, (especially those working for the state), if I have a misdemeanor from 'driving to engdanger'?
I was pulled over in Maine and given a physical sobriety test. When brought into the station for a sobriety test I blew a .07. I was originally charged with a OUI, however since it is under the .08 level the DA's offer was to drop the OUI charge and charge me with "driving to endanger" which comes as a misdemeanor, with a 30 day license suspension and $500 fine. Is this an acceptable charge? Would it be in my best interest to try to fight it so that I don't have a record or would it cost me just as much for a lawyer and not be worth it? I'm just worried about getting a job with that on my record, especially because I hope to work for a state run environmental agency.

Were my OAS and leaving the scene charges dropped?
Recently I was charged with operating under the influence, leaving the scene of a accident of property damage while my license was suspended (for a unpaid ticket.) The arresting officer gave me my court date for these three charges the day I was arrested. A few days later I received a letter stating the court date was changed and the listed offenses only stated OUI. So I called the court house and the clerk said that the only listed court date was for the OUI and that it was the only offense on record. Could this mean that the other two charges were dropped?
You will not know for sure what the charges are until your arraignment date. The officer does not decide on the charges,...

My wife was involved in an DWI accident with another vehicle, the other driver has "deep tissue" injuries.
The ADA wants to charge her with Felony driving to endanger, dropping the DWI charge, 60 days in Jail, 2 years probation. She has never been in trouble before, gone to a 30 day rehab program that our insurance does not cover & also a 3 week IPO. The DAD doesn't want to budge on a plea deal & seems dead set on a felony conviction. We have a lawyer but I'm not happy with the results so far. Any suggestions to negotiate with the ADA and avoid the felony charges which will follow her the rest of her life?
