Can a judge up your charges from a zero tolerance to a dui?
I got charged with a zero tolerance from the police officer saying he was cutting me a break. Im scared the judge might up it to a dui because i blew a 0.14 and im 19
Only the prosecutor can charge you. The judge does not have that authority,
Is it possible to plead for a wreckless driving charge rather than a dui? Is jury trial required to do so?
I am facing a 3rd dui charge-I was arrested way back on July 9th of 2010-I completed the dui risk education classes on Dec.20th-2010 - and drove-successfully w/ an intoxilock device in my vehicle for a full year. I have not gone to court yet -is there ANY WAY I can try to get out of the 3rd dui charge? I know I could be facing jail time-and would gladly submit to that-if I could get a lesser charge. Would that help my case? And....if I get sentenced w/ the dui-and it goes to the state-and my license is revoked-is there a period of time-required by the state-that I HAVE to go w/out driving at all? I plan on paying an attorney to go to springfield to make an attempt to get my driving privledges restored or at least a driving permit of sorts.
There's no "w' in reckless.

My 6 year old son lives mostly with my ex-wife. She has been on several evening dates recently, and I have heard through the grapevine that she is driving under the influence. Obviously, I fear for my son. How can I find out if she has any DUI's?
Criminal History Records information is only available from the Illinois State Police. Information is located at their...

Future medical student diagnosed with ADHD (Vyvanse) arrested for DUI. What are the chances of winning this case outright?
I had 3 beers with my cousin starting at 8:30pm. Background: 1. Was pulled over on Touhy for speeding 63/35mph. 2. Admitted to alcohol consumption, performed FST & station machine test (1st two errors, last reading .10). 3. Charged with DUI, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol (cousin’s cup); I also have an additional court date (12/8) for speeding on the same street on a separate occasion. 4. No Blood Chemical Test performed. 5. Clean criminal record. Currently a UIC Grad student pursuing a Masters in Health Informatics. Applying to medical school in 2016 Diagnosed with ADHD and take Vyvanse 25mg/day (get drowsy, dizzy, and restless at night). My court date is 12/22/15 and hoping for best possible scenario to continue my medical career w/o hindering future employment.
First, no attorney can ethically make a prediction, assurance or guarantee of any particular outcome. That being said...
Why is the initial charge still on my record?
I was arrested for DUI in 2011. I received a charge reduction to reckless driving and 1-year court supervision. My lawyer told me that the court supervision would keep the charge off my record. So why is it that I still see the initial DUI charge on my record more than 4 years later?
Where do you see your record? Some lawyers have a bad habit of saying "off your record," when they mean to say you will...
Can Illinois look at a DUI from a different state under a Missouri license?
My mother has 4 DUIS in Illinois. 2 from 1996, 1 from last year and one recently. They are charging her with an X class felony due to the fact she also has a DUI from Missouri under a Missouri license from the 1990s. Is this legal?
Yes, it is perfectly legal. Your mother needs a lawyer.
