I was backing up in a parking lot, hit a car (no damage). Passed sobriety test, still took me in. Blew a .069 & still got a DUI.
I was backing up in a parking lot, hit a car (no damage). Then five cops came running over, asked me to get out of the car to take a sobriety test. Passed sobriety test, then he asked how old i was. I said 20, so they took me in. I Blew a .069, which is under the legal limit but it doesn't matter because i'm a minor.... Should i still get a lawyer?!
Definitely retain counsel, as your undeveloped legal knowledge and young impressionable age will not be able to present...
What is the best wording to request to reconsider administrative revocation of license in Hawaii?
I have my first DUI in Hawaii and now have my license revoked.
The best wording will be drafted by an attorney who knows the law inside and out.
Can a lifetime administrative license revocation be remedied if I now live on the mainland?
I received an administrative "lifetime revocation" of my drivers license in 1995 due to refusal to take a breathalyzer test 3 times within ten years. I understand there is remedy whereby an ignition interlock device is installed in the vehicle driven for a period of 5 years. Can I do this if I now live on the mainland? It is an additional hardship as I am now disabled and on SSDI.
Regardless of where you now live, you must comply with the requirements of the state that imposed the revocation. The...

How is it that I got a penal summons to appear in court next month when i have complied with all of the court procedures & fines
2 yrs. Ago got a dui. License was revoked. Got caught driving 2 times while my permit to drive to and from work had expired. The court kept issuing a continuance each time I appeared in court because of the absence of the officer's. After the final continuance the judge dismissed the case with out prejudice. I received my fine money back, obtained a relicensing form from the ADLRO so that I can get my license back. I have complied with the court in everything I had to. Today I get a police officer at my door step handing me a penal summons to appear in court next month. How is this possible?
Really need more information. What does the summons say, and what is the case number? If it is the same case number...
F1-Student, first time arrest and upcoming DUI trial in HI. Can I travel within/outside the US and re-enter during/after case?
Aloha, I am an international F-1 Visa Student from Germany and have been 4 years studying and legally working in Hawaii for a PhD at the University. I have had a clean criminal record and got in a DUI stop recently. At the traffic stop, I refused to any tests and got arrested and booked. I have an upcoming court trial where I will contest 2 charges, 1) DUI and 2)Refusal to submit a test with a DUI lawyer. However, I need to travel within and outside the US for conferences 2-3 times a year. My questions: Should/Can I travel leave the US during and/or after the trial or will I be rejected re-entry likely? If the case gets dismissed/I am found not guilty, how is the traveling situation/re-entry situation likely? If I am found guilty on both counts, how is the scenario ? I am concerned...
If you are not found guilty and both charges are dismissed, I do not think it will have much impact on F-1 visa, and...
If you have a DUI charge in arizona 15 years ago, can you get a license in Hawaii?
person was a minor (17 years) never got charged with a DUI until 5 months later then received a warrant for not going to court and was charged with a DUI. The person never did anything as in go to court pay fines nothing at all. So the case was never started.
The only way to know for sure is to apply for the license and see whether there is a "hold" out of Arizona. If there is...
