The sequence of events began with the attempted purchase on W. Officers were dispatched to Little Darlings on Ravine Road at 2:30 Sunday morning after a disturbance was reported and the Manager saw a gun in the waistband of one of the participants. Comment?

It took a few tries but a man wanted for a number of thefts from construction sites in Pavilion Township is in the County Jail this morning after a wild cross county chase on Monday. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff is warning area residents that there is a phone scam going around targeting Kalamazoo County residents specifically. The department reports that the call comes from a person identifying themselves as "Officer Hall" and he tries to scare the victim by saying there is a warrant out for the victim's arrest and they need to make arrangements to pay their bond. The second suspect in a drug-related shooting at Crosstown Parkway and Portage Road last week has been captured in Indiana and now also faces drug and gun felonies in the Hoosier state. Authorities don't yet know when a man wanted in connection with the Oct. 26 shooting of a man in Kalamazoo will be extradited back to Michigan from Indiana, where he was arrested Friday night. Jamar Jawon Jackson, 26, was taken into custody without incident at approximately 8:30 p.m. EST in Indianapolis by the Indiana State Police, according to a news relelase from Kalamazoo Public Safety.
