Police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old Joliet resident killed in an apparent drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon near the intersection of McDonough Street and Joliet Street. A 14-year-old boy was also injured in the shooting, police said. Comment?

The Crest Hill cops nabbed a Joliet man wanted in connection with a gun attack in their town, police said. Ex-convict Jaelyn Gant, 21, was arrested Tuesday and charged with the aggravated discharge of a firearm, possessing a firearm as a felon, the unlawful use of a weapon, and violating his parole. The Will County coroner says a teenage boy and a man were killed in a shooting Tuesday evening. The coroner says 17-year-old Tariq J. Purnell of Joliet and 30-year-old Keon D. Kelly of Lockport died in the shooting. Comment?

A Grundy County judge dropped the bond for the son of a Will County judge, clearing the way for him to get out of jail and move in with his mom and stepdad. Louis Goode, 29, the son of Judge Carla Alessio Policandriotes, was released soon after his bond was reduced by Judge Robert Marsaglia Tuesday. Comment?

A Will County judge's son apparently expects to get out of jail well before Christmas-and in time to help take care of the child he has with the girlfriend he allegedly beat up and locked in the trunk of a car. Louis Goode, 29, the son of Judge Carla Alessio Policandriotes, has been locked up since Oct. 6, first at the Will County Adult Detention Facility and then at the Grundy County jail, where Judge Robert Livas sent him out of concerns for his safety.
