Received written notice from Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) for fines & fees that are not mine. What can I do?
I called the MDX and was able to verify, from their web site, that the pictures of the vehicle their system took is not mine. The license plate number does match my own. When I told them that the picture of the vehicle their system took plainly shows a white Toyota that does not have Florida plates (I own a black Hyundai Santa Fe with Florida "Save the Manatee plates")....... I was told I'd have to get a written letter from the DMV that I will then have to supply when I fill out a dispute form. This is the second time this has happened with the MDX and I am being accused of something I have not done once again. What recourse do I have? I don't want to spend time and money having to prove my innocence when the MDX could resolve this matter by contacting the Florida DMV themselves and verifying that what I told them is true. Isn't it unconstitutional to force me to prove my innocence as opposed to them having to prove my guilt based on the evidence they have? I am in north Florida and haven't been to the Miami area in more than a year. The tolls in question occurred recently. This recent notice states I need to pay the fines by 9/26/2017.
I hate to be blunt but you already know your options. You can pay the fine, contest the citation and or deal with...

How do I appeal a traffic court judge's capias and refusal to give me a court date until I go to jail?
I have a public defender, cannot afford an attorney, am disabled, and cannot get to the grocery store without a license, or drive with a capias out for my arrest. The judge refuses to withdraw this or even look at the extenuating circumstances of why I went to the PD's office and forgot to sign the pleading. I have severe memory problems, I'd just found my roommate in bed, dead, the day before - even the SS judge clearly stated and so did 5 other doctors that I have severe memory loss in addition to many other serious, chronic health problems. I have already served 2 days in jail for missing the court date the first time, paid $500.00 to be bonded out of jail, and now my license has been suspended for almost a year. The State Attorney wants me to serve 5 more days in jail for Failure to Give Information involving property damage, when the ticket I got clearly states "No property damage." Please tell me how I can appeal this, or get a trial or court date. The judge clearly has some prejudice towards me and refuses to give me a court date and is trying to force me to go to jail again.
I can't (and even if I could then I wouldn't) spell out criminal or appellate procedure rules on the internet. That is...
Dui question?
Over a year ago, I got in a car accident while in another county and at the hospital, my blood was tested for alcohol. My BAC was .280 and the state filed a case against me (still pending). A few weeks ago, I got a DUI in Jacksonville where I live. Would this now be considered a second DUI? They know about my first one. And my other question is, is it less likely my most recent dui would be dropped because of my first one that is still pending? I refused the breath test as well as the field tests.
Yes, the second DUI would be considered a second DUI. And no, the second one will not be dropped because of the first...
How do I transfer dui court ordered required class to a new state?
A few months ago I was sentenced with a first time dui in North Carolina. I was required community service to be complete by a specified date. I completed said community service. I am also required to take a drug and alcohol class. The problem I have is, I moved to Florida due to work and opportunity purposes. I don't have a set date the class must be complete. It just needs to be completed in order for me to get my license back. What steps do I need to take and who do I contact in order to finish all court requirements here in florida?
You will need to contact the division of motor vehicles in North Carolina and provide them with the duration and type...
