    Two more people have been arrested in connection with an ATM theft in Hoover where shots were fired at an officer. Stacy Shafer is charged with second-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

    Jason Alan Shafer, 42, and Stacy Mae Morris Shafer, 33, were taken into custody about 6 p.m. after they had been holed home inside a home in a North Roebuck neighborhood. ( A husband and wife arrested Tuesday after a four-hour standoff in east Birmingham were sought in the case of the ATM theft in Hoover where shots were fired at officers.

Oscar Lee Woods III is charged with capital murder and felony murder in connection with the May 11 deaths of Tavarius Jamal Bryant of Hoover and Christopher Bryant of Memphis.

Kemp, 31, was found guilty on two counts - felony murder/burglary first-degree and felony murder/domestic violence first-degree - in a trial before Jefferson County Circuit Judge Laura Petro.

    A youth evangelist in Alabama accused of sexually abusing children has been indicted on another child sex charge. Al.com reports 37-year-old preacher Paul Edward Acton Bowen was indicted June 22 on a charge of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.
