The 10 year rule of a suspended license, Does it mean it is now clear & can I apply for a drivers license without any problems?
It's been difficult to find work/income without a drivers license. I had 2 DUI's back in 2004 in Michigan, the 10 year rule does that mean my suspended license is now clear & can I apply for a driver's license in Florida
Once you are suspended in one state, you will need to clear that up before another state will give you a license. I...
How long can the jail hold my son without an arraignment on drunk and disorderly, and resisting and obstructing?Bond has been set
He was arrested 9-21-16,went to mental health facility then back to jail about a week ago so far no arraignment. When I called them they said the jail hadnt let them know yet he was back in jail and would put him on a list for video arraignment. Its been over a week.
He certainly should have been arraigned considering your posted arrest date. However, if his Bond has been set then...
What will most likely happen after a DUI while on probation for non DUI misdemeanor
Got into a accident that was not my fault no one hurt but blew 1.7. I have the arraignment tomorrow which I plan to plead not guilty and get a lawyer (should I go with a appointed?) I have been on probation for over a year for theft over 1000. What is most likely going to happen?
The high BAC drunk driving will treat you as though the first offense does not exist except for purposes of creating a...
If a Kentucky driver is convicted in Michigan for impaired driving, how will that affect his driver's license in Kentucky?
Obviously the fines/costs and driver's responsibility fees will have to be paid to Michigan, and I know that Michigan DMV will notify Kentucky of the conviction, but will Kentucky take sanctions against the person for the out of state DUI conviction?
You should ask this question in a Kentucky forum. That said my experience with other out of state clients in...
Can I get charges dropped? Or what is the best advice (fist OWI..clean record)
Was driving home after having a couple of beers (felt perfectly fine to drive) at no point did I feel drunk or even get a head change.. Had an incident where I had to pull over to the side of the road..never expecting to end up getting stuck..called my insurance company to send a tow truck over and drop off my car at my house..and as I was waiting police showed up on the scene (I wasn't in my car)....questioning led to sobriety field test (did good) then blew a BAC of .11 and arrested me on the spot...now got charged with traffic crash and OWI...I feel like that wasn't right...can I fight that for a lesser charge or maybe get all charges dropped?..I need some advise I mean I was never pulled over or was really in an accident!!
Sounds like you need a good criminal defense attorney.
What will my post-ISP probation situation be?
I am on ISP, I got a DUI. First offense ever. I blew high, now that Michigan has a "super-drunk" law. Placed on ISP, have to attend AA, call in every morning to court to seeif i must drug test, house visits, curfew..the whole nine yards. I have dilligently completed every class, attend the AA meetings, always home for curfew..and will have the last of my fines paid early..next week. I am done with ISP in July. What happens afterward? I am not from Michigan, and have had nothing but bad experiences here for the last year and want to leave as soon as possible. I have a much better job offer in California, and wish to move back. Will I be finished with probation terms? Will I be able to go? My probation officer is very unapproachable and unresponsitive.
You will not be able to leave until you complete probation or you have permission of the court to leave. On your...
2nd DUI
I recently got a second dui and have a few weeks to go before I can get the restricted license. I am in the sobriety court program which allows for me to get it in 45-60 days after court probation started.I have 2 vehicles. One I plan on driving and I know the interlock will be installed so I can drive it. I don't plan on driving the other one but can I still get plates for it? will they lock it up?can someone else get plates on it and how do you go about doing that?
Every vehicle you operate and/or own must have the interlock device installed. If you transfer plates to someone else,...
