Hobbs Law

My husbands employer has stated that someone has brought it to their attention that he has a dui on his driving record. He does have this on his record but it happened a year and a half ago. Now they are requiring him to submit a consent form for them to pull record to confirm. Our concern is that no one has brought it to their attention and that they pulled his driving record without his consent and now are trying to cover their tracks. He has never lost driving privileges and hasn't reported mileage and gotten paid for it . As in the company policy it states that anyone that drives for the company with their personal vehicle andgets $ for mileage will be required to submit a consent form to pull report annually on the employee's date of hire birthday each year. His DOH was july
If he has to drive as part of his work, the company could be held responsible for his conduct. Thus, it is well within...
I am being sued. following an accident. Will my insurance still pay damages or give me help, if I was convicted of a DUI at the time of the accident.
Notify your insurance company of the suit NOW. Whether they will defend or indemnity (cover a judgment against you)...
I drive with an interlock issued is NM, I was stoppped by the police in TX and after checking my license the policeman said I was driving without a valid one. I wrote to the judge and explained I had one and sent him some paperwork. He sent back a message saying that I had to pay a $300 fine for driving without a valid license, no-one seems to be able to help. I know that interlocks are recognized in TX. The DMV say it is not their problem. Will my record show I was driving illegally and what happens every time I go to TX? What can I do now?
Dear "Hobbs" If your license is a NM license and the NM DMV/DOL requires you to have an ignition interlock and the IID...
I got hit with a agg DUI was NOT arrested but did go to the "drunk tank" for 18 hours .... I was NOT read my rights. I got a lawyer and when court time came the judge dropped the aggravated DUI as soon as court started . How come I need the interlock and my drivers license was suspended if it was dropped?
Did you take a regular (non-AGG) DUI? It could have been part of your requirements. Sometimes prosecutors will agree...
In the past I got a DWI charge so I had to do the interlock along with other programs and fines which I completed all successfully. I was denied my license after the completion for the reason being I've been to prison and was asked to to the interlock for 6 more mths and more programs and fines. Once again I completed all programs successfully and paid all fines. The second time around though I fail the interlock one time but it was because of drinking, so I've been denied still for my license now on the grounds because I failed the interlock 1 time.
You will have to comply with DMV requirements to obtain a license. You need to understand that the interlock is a...
Campus security guards don't have the power to make an arrest...I was very compliant when they told me to get back in my car....20 minutes later a police officer shows up and arrests me...I feel like my rights have been totally violated..P.s. I did fail the breathalyzer, I was over the limit
Many factors go into a conviction, but campus security can certainly testify that you were driving, if they saw you driving.
I have a dui from 1991 and they ( DMV ) says that I have to have interlock for at least six months because the new law requires me to .. so I thought maybe I fall under some kind of grandfathered law since it was 22 years ago, I am really confused. Can you please help, I just got arrested for revoked license because of this new law
If you did not have a license was it still suspended from the 1991 conviction? If any case you need to at least...
