Reports recently filed at the Hinesville Police Department include: Jan. 14 Embezzlement, theft by conversion - The manager of Rent-A-Center told an officer that a Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park resident had rented a set of bunk beds worth more than $800 in early December, made one payment two weeks later and hasn't paid any more. She has also not responded to a letter demanding she return the property. Comment?

The defendant in a burglary that resulted in the murder of a soldier has pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life with parole plus 40 years. Defendant Kyle D. Perry entered into the agreement before Liberty County Superior Court Judge Paul Rose. Comment?

Recent reports filed with the Hinesville Police Department include: Jan. 5 Possession of narcotics with intent to distribute - The HPD Drug Unit got tips that a woman was selling prescription drugs around town and that she would be at a certain shopping center around 4 p.m. Officers set up a stakeout. At about that time, a vehicle fitting the description given pulled in, and the officers moved in on the woman. Comment?

Dec. 10 Suspended license - A man was pulled over in the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market parking lot on West Oglethorpe Highway for an improper right turn. When asked for his license and registration, he looked in his glove box, but it wasn't there. Comment?
