Drove into a sobriety checkpoint. Did not notice if everyone was being stopped or if there was profiling. Am over 30/M, look about 25, was alone. Trooper approached vehicle, asked "how are you doing?" Put vehicle in park, turned on overhead light, rolled window down all the way, did not turn engine off, put hands on wheel. He asked again, I said "fine, how can I help you?" He asked if I had anything to drink, I said "no". He asked where I was heading. I told him (town name). He said that is an exciting place and that he has spent a lot of time there and he asked what part I lived in, I told him and he said again that he has spent a lot of time there and asked what part I lived in. I told him not the deep part. He let me go. I feel like he was profiling me as poor white trash. What's best?
Nothing. You were not arrested or charged. Nothing in your post indicates anything other than a routine sobriety...
I came into town with a company crew for work. Got charged. Company shut down and out of job. Became homeless. Indigent. Unable to stay in town. So unable to get back to court. Ever since then unable to obtain a license to drive. Need to see if I can find someone to get the case closed cheap. Can't afford alot of money as hence need a license to get decent jobs. Someone suggested check here and maybe because of time I have had to go without a license 10 times plus longer than a conviction. Maybe someone can get the case dismissed? Trying to turn my life around.
Look on the find a lawyer section for your area of AVVO and ask around. Not sure what cheap means, but not all...
An intoxicated woman was pulled ovr, charged with a DUI, and made a statement that resulted in a search warrant of an unrelated residence. Is it legal to obtain a search warrant on the statement of an intoxicated woman who was charged with DUI?
Sure, happens all the time. Clearly, even in her intoxicated condition she provided sufficient details that convinced...

20 of my classmates from my University were also given citations and do not know what whether it is better to pay the processing fees or to do community service/ other options in order to get it expunged faster.
There are benefits to both approaches. I think you would be best served to avoid the conviction and expungement...
A received a DUI a few months back in Morgantown WV, and was placed in the first timers program, which requires me to get an interlock placed in my car and take AA classes. I am currently living in NJ. How do I got about finding the classes in my state? What are the requirements, and can the classes be taken online? Thank you in advanced!
You can find local AA classes online by AA.org. My understanding of AA is that it is more of a meeting, and not really...
My husband was arrested for a DUI on September 18, 2010. Discrimination and harrassment were involved on the officer's part (I was in the car with him, so was a witness). We also have reason to believe the breathalyzer test was faulty/administered incorrectly/recorded innacurately and/or that the officer falsified evidence. Closely following the arrest, the officer was charged with harassment (of someone else, not us) and two counts of child molestation and fled the country with a warrant out for his arrest. (Sounds like a soap opera, right?) Our lawyer told us that now we just have to wait for a court decision in the officer's absence. But it's been over 4 years! How long can a court decision drag out?
Trust your lawyer. If the state takes no action for a period of time, your attorney may be able to get the case...
