Ok I've violated my probation for the 3rd time which I've failed to report for drug screening but I've paid off my court fines will this help me out in a show cause hearing?
Not a soul can tell you definitively. Too many factors to consider that are unknown: prior crim record / prior...
If a person drinks alcohol and drives a car, can he be charged and convicted with DWI?
If a person drinks alcohol and drives a car, can he be charged and convicted with DWI? He is 21 or order but is under the legal limit. He knows this the case because he always uses the same type of personal-breathalyzers that law enforcement uses before he drinks and drive.
A couple of things here. One, any breathalyzer he may have is not the same as what the police use. I guarantee it. The...
Can I find an attorney with DUI experience in Hart County KY?
While driving from Georgia back to Michigan, I was pulled over by Hart County, KY state police, arrested for a DUI, and released the next morning. I need to keep my drivers license so I can continue to work and support my 3 kids. I will drive back to KY to help with this offense as often as necessary. Please help.
I suggest you use the AVVO find a lawyer feature. You can search for attorneys in that geographic region who specialize...
I need help w suing the state of FL or the sherriff department of west palm beach for intentionally impacting my earning potenti
My situation didnt appear to be this complicated initially, but i was criminally charged w dui in florida and i chose to represent myself. I knew this was a risk i was taking, but i had no $ for a lawyer and i knew i wasnt guilty. Based on my knowledge that the officer was wrong, i went through the process and ultimately received a no file by the arresting party due to no evidence of wrongdoing. I then was directed by the judge on where i needed to go to get my bond money returned to me etc. I got all my $ back but my license was never returned. The officer would not speak to me or return my calls and i just found out back home here in michigan that my license is still suspended. This is still costing me significant money to use lyft and uber for work because i dont want to drive illegally. I was told by Michigan that florida has to remove my suspension for me to get a new license and i wont be back in fl until November. Im definitely feeling screwed even though i did everything the right way. I even filed for a dmv hearing in fl while i was going through the court process and never heard back from them. Most lawyer dont seem to want to touch this case, but i have all the proof etc
You need a lawyer from the state of Florida... use AVVO find a lawyer tab to find one close to where the FL court is....
Can the police test me for drugs while I am asleep in the jail cell after I have been arrested for possession of marijuana?
Arrested for disorderly person, searched and they found marijuana. Refused a breathalyzer on the seen and in the police station. Charges were disorderly person and possession of marijuana. Went to court and my lawyer read the report and he said it said I tested positive for marijuana. I never gave any consent to be tested and he said they may have tested me when I was asleep. Is this legal?
this is one of the weirdest questions i've seen here. a breathalyzer will not detect marihuana. it must be blood or...
Should I settle in Distrcit court for a 3rd dui and 3rd degree fleeing and eluding. Or should I decline and go to circuit court?
3rd dui and 3rd degree fleeing and eluding. The district court offered to reduce both to high misdemeanors and serve 90 days in jail. Plus 2 years sobriety court. Should I take the deal since the Felony reductions or should I try and get less time at circuit court to reduce jail time and possibly no soberiety court?
We can not tell you what to do. You need to discuss with your attorney the best course of action. If you do not have...
