A Gloversville man has been sent to jail for a year after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated while his license was suspended from a previous DWI conviction. Kevin S. Bonfey, 55, of Blanchard Road, was arrested by state police while he was driving in the town of Johnstown on March 17. Troopers said Bonfey admitted he did not have a license and he smelled of alcohol. Comment?

On Friday afternoon, Gloversville Police responded to Jan's Deli at 142 West Fulton Street for a report of an attempted robbery. The store clerk told officers a woman entered the store with her face covered and demanded cash from him, with what he thought to be a gun in her hand, but the clerk refused to give her any cash. An Amsterdam man has pleaded guilty to attempted robbery in relation to a November incident in Gloversville that involved the use of a taser, according to District Attorney Chad Brown's office. According the D.A.'s office, Jason Insogna, 27, of 267 Guy Park Ave. pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery on Dec. 23 in Fulton County Court. Comment?
