I need help concerning my first DUI case.
On Monday, I had two drinks coming from a friend's house. I drove home and parked. I turned my car off as well. I fell asleep in my car in the driver's seat. I woke up to flashing lights. The officer told me to turn my car on, in which I did. I told him I had two drinks and that I was parked at my home. He took field sobriety test and took me to the station. I took a breathalyzer test and blew .99. They kept me for six hours and read me my Miranda rights at the station. I do not have a criminal record, I do not have any traffic violations. My driver's license is in good standing and I have insurance on my car. The report states that I was slumped over the wheel and I was not and it also states my car is silver and it is clearly black. Do I have a case? Will these charges be dismissed?
Why is it always two drinks? Anyway, you need to hire an attorney. That's the only thing you can do right now to help...
Are there any attorneys in Cook County (Illinois) willing to accept payments for a first time DUI/DWI charge?
I am scheduled to appear for court in Rolling Meadows courthouse next week for a DUI/DWI charge I am facing. Due to my finances, I was considering going with a public defender however, I would obviously prefer to have an attorney representing my case. I did submit to the breathalyser which came back under the legal limit I am sure and I refused the blood/urine sample. I am fine with having my license suspended for a year (the arresting officer told me this would be the case if I did not submit a sample) - I just do not want this on my record and want to be able to keep my freedom. I know there is a price to pay, choices have consequences, etc. If anyone would be willing to speak with me and can accept payments, I would love to hear from you! Thank you in advance.
Yes, there are many attorneys who will accept a payment plan for your case. But you're unlikely to find one on a free...
First DWI offense, in need of help!
I have only been in trouble with the law one time which was for a misdemeanor theft conviction about 10 years ago. I am now facing my first DUI/DWI charge and my head is spinning...Do attorneys accept payments? Free consultations? I obviously would like the best representation for my case and not randomly pick a name out of a book.

Is it best to take the DUI w/ court supervision or Reckless driving conviction when it comes to the Board of Nursing?
I am a nurse and I was recently charged with a DUI. I am a first time offender so court supervision is on the table. With successful completion there will not be a conviction on my record but the arrest will be there. I can also get it reduced to reckless driving which is still a misdemeanor. Which is best on keeping my license?
Rather than relying solely on answers you receive in the simple Q&A forum, you should hire an attorney who handles DUI...
My dui case was dismissed but on my record it shows up as a conviction. How do I go about fixing this wrongful conviction
I obtain a dui 5 years ago blew a .081 and the case luckily was dismissed in court. I obtain a second 4 years ago did not blow and the case was dismissed. On my record it states I was convicted of the first DUI and the 2nd was dismissed but they were both dismissed. Is this considered a wrongful conviction can I get the conviction off since it was in fact dismissed is the Secretary of State allowed to convict me of a dui when a judge dismissed it?
You're likely going to need an attorney for this. You'll need a certified minute order and I'd start there.
Out of state traveler got DUI in a rental car. Now I have a 23152A violation. What do I do?
I visited Healdsburg, CA for a wedding and got pulled over leaving a parking lot to head home. I live in Chicago and was using a rental car at the time. I blew a .19 and was put in jail overnight and then released. They gave me my drivers license and confusing paperwork. I tried the DMV but never got through. Back home, I now received a letter with a 23152A violation. What do I need to do? I do not want to go back to CA to handle this. I do not own a car back home.
You need to retain a lawyer in California with plenty of experience in DUI defense. You don't want a default on your...
Sister in Law is in jail now (about a month) no bail posted....5th DUI (I know that's horrible) ....
Sister in Law is in jail now (about a month) no bail posted....5th DUI (I know that's horrible) but her past lawyer is charging $9,000 PER CASE (2 CASES $18,000) absolutely can not afford that!...she stated the public defender is not being very informal to her. They say she may get 4-10 years, is there anyway she can get some major treatment / help send her somewhere?? I want to help her so she can get well, but not be in jail any longer than 4 years or be able to get less than 4 years. She's a good person, but needs help. Thank you. (In DuPage Co IL jail now) (one case is in Cook Co and the other in DuPage).
She'll get help. Treatment will be a mandatory condition of her sentence. However, working on her 4th and 5th DUI,...
