A little background on my case, DUI in Santa Clara county in 2012. My second, first was in 2006 (all time/fines/probation served). I was just terminated for the first time from my California Multiple Offender Program (18 month) for not being in 21 day compliance. I was told by the program I would be eligible to re enroll in 30 days for a fee without a problem. My question is what happens now? Am I going to have to go back to court? Am I going to get a warrant issued for my arrest? Can I avoid all of this trouble if I get re enrolled before a potential court date? Please help me.
You will probably have to go back to court for a re referral to the SB-28 program and have a warrant recalled. DO IT...
I was charged with a DUI
There is no provision for a restricted license due to a DUI suspension in CA for someone underr 21. However, there is...
i was arrested for dui and my girlfriend was in the passenger side and during my field sobriety tests one officer began questioning her and then told her to exit the car. while my dui stop was continuing they placed her under arrest for 647(f) but she was not very intoxicated, she was coherent and cooperating with the officer but yet she was arrested and i dont know why they wouldnt let her call a friend or a taxi? she is applying for citizenship and now it might be in jeopardy?
she should consult with an immigration attorney who also handles criminal cases....convictions can have adverse...
I received a notice that I must appear in court for red lite violation. I was still on court probation for a dui, ( only had two week left) I would be interested in know what the possible consequences would be. i.e. jail? double the fine? more probation?
Most terms of probation for DUI prohibit major traffic violations such as subsequent DUI's, driving without a valid...
I have a prior DUI 10+ years ago. Will this become pertinent in this case? What can I expect the outcome to be in San Jose?
An old DUI is unlikely to have much affect on your case. for best rests, hire an attorney to try to negotiate this away.
Received dui then moved to Oregon and completed dui classes but never paid fines.. Court requesting interlock device and now fines are totaling close to 6,000 dollars.. What can I do to get license back? Is there anyway to see judge to get fines reduced and to drop interlock device or to get restricted license?
Dropping the IID is unlikely. Fines could be subject to reduction or a payment plan. Certainly do not drive in Oregon...
I was arrested for a DUI in CA in Jan. of 2011. I believe they told me I blew a .16. I went to court, did the community service and alcohol classes. I haven't completely paid off the fine yet. I also had to put an IID in my car. I had only just had the device installed in 2013 and my car broke down in the summer so I never completed the program. In Oct. 2013 I was pulled over on my way to work, driving my cousins truck and the officers said I blew .08. I spent the weekend and an additional 3 days in jail but never made it to court so they released me. I just received a warrant in the mail with a misdemeanor charge "(m) vc14601.1(a)" I looked up the charge and it seems to be just driving on a suspended license. Should I turn myself in? And what type of punishment am I facing?
According to the vehicle code, a first time violation for 14601.1 requires a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of six...
