I am wondering after paying off my DUI fine what's my next step to have a warrant dropped for failure to appear on the fine
After paying a fine where a warrant had been issued for a failure to appear on my court date to get further extension on my fine. Does a judge usually automatically drop the warrant if the fine is paid in full? Or do u have to pay and also turn yourself into jail to see the judge that issued the warrant for the failure to appear? Or can I pay the fine in full payment and by paying it does it automatically drop the warrant if paid in full?
Most likely, the warrant for your failure to appear will not be quashed (dropped) automatically when you pay the fine....

You need to show up in person and clear the warrant. I would bring some money to show your willingness to start paying.
Can I have a trial moved to another county?
My little brother was killed last year by a drunk driver that worked for the city and is well known by many many people in this county. The police have already made "so called" mistakes in this case and things just seem fishy to me and i don't see getting a fair jury trial with so many people knowing him. Can I have the trial moved to another county? If so, how do I do this?
You may make a motion to change venue, but, you will need actual evidence not just your feeling that things "seem fishy"...
What is a customary fee schedule for a 1st DUI and how long do they usually take to resolve?
I was charged with a DUI 9/2015 with a 0.03 breath test in the field and negative on the blood and the only thing on my drug screen was Trazadone which I have taken for several years for sleep when I need it. This has been ongoing, it took until May to get the blood results back. My lawyer asked for $1000. up front, he travels 13 miles for the continuing court appearances which have totaled 3 visits of no more than 5 minutes, and the pre-trial which may have lasted a total of 10 minutes. I met with him for the first time in his office last Friday and he asked for an additional $3000. 1500 to cover the continuing visits to date and 1500 to go to a bench trial. I have been led to believe all along that this would most likely be dismissed, but for some reason the county attorney wants it taken forward. I have never been in trouble before. I feel like these fees are excessive.
Respectfully, I think the fees are quite reasonable. You are paying for time and experience. Your attorney spent...

I am on workmans comp for an injury and cannot pay the whole fine. Can they extradite me back to Ny for the court date or if i don't pay the fine. I can make small payments but will that stop the court appearance.

Tricky situation with a past DUI and an SR-22 filing. Please help!
Hello! Years ago, I recieved a DUI with a California license, while I was a resident in the state of Kentucky in the state of Kentucky. After I fulfilled all of my requirements, I was told that I was on probation for 3 years to California even though I don't live there, and that I had to have an SR22. I found a non-owners SR22 for $30 dollars a month and had that for about a a year and a half. Then all of a sudden the policy changed to $200 dollars a month and I was out of the country so I couldn't afford it. So I had to cancel my insurance and my license is suspended again. I will have to get a new SR22 going again when I get home and working. My question is, will my 3 month probation period start all over again or will it still be only 3 months from original conviction? I'm just hoping I didn't waste a year and a half of SR22 payments for nothing. I'm really just wanting to be free from California and move on with my life. I just don't know how else I could have handled it. Is there any alternative to find an SR22 that isn't over 200/months. That's just too steep for me to handle as I'm just a waiter. Thank you for any help!
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, an SR-22 must be continually maintained. Shop around - rates can differ...
