A Delaware man is being extradited to Arkansas to face a first-degree murder charge stemming from a 1967 homicide. James Leon Clay, 68, of Georgetown, Del., admitted to the homicide when police arrested him March 10 at his home, according to Delaware court documents. Comment?

The Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs will be hosting special events during the month of November at the museums of the state of Delaware. Highlights of the month include a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2, at The Old State House in Dover celebrating the creation of a new state historical marker honoring Samuel D. Burris, a free African-American from the Willow Grove area who served as a conductor on the Underground Railroad. Comment?

At about noon, Esau Perez-Lopez forced open a locked exit door of the Mundo Latino Convenience at 101 Cedar St., Georgetown, and pulled out what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, said Police Chief R. L. Hughes of the Georgetown Police Department. Perez-Lopez demanded money from the clerk; he also pointed the handgun at several children who were in the store, Hughes said. Comment?
