  • Police: Intoxicated man assaults officer

    A 24-year-old Edinburg man is free after posting bond Monday, Aug. 13 after having spent a day in the Live Oak County Jail. before midnight to the area behind the Valero Corner Store on U.S. Highway 281 after multiple 911 calls related to a man running in the middle of the road.

    Raymond S. Lopez, 32, of Three Rivers was arrested Aug. 2 and charged with manufacture or delivery of controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, 1-4000 grams. Bond was set at $100,000 and he was released Aug. 3. Brandon L. Lopez, 19, of Edinburg, was arrested Aug. 3 on a warrant related to a motion to revoke his probation related to a charge of possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, less than 1 gram.

    Ricardo Garcia, 33, of Fort Worth was arrested July 25 on an out-of-county warrant charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $30,000 and he was released July 29. Cameron Ramirez, 22, of San Antonio, was arrested July 25 and charged with possession of marijuana, less than two ounces.

  • Four in federal meth case scheduled to be sentenced ...

    Sentencing is set for Oct. 1 for four area residents charged in connection with a two-year-long joint operation between the Live Oak County Sheriff's Office and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations. According to U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas records on the PACER website, the four - 57-year-old Robert Lewis Fox, 40-year-old Sherry Lynn Arrisola and brothers 29-year-old Aaron Romero and 24-year-old Joe Anthony Romero all have pled guilty to their charges.
