Three Gainesville men were arrested Friday and charged with intent to distribute more than $3,000 in synthetic marijuana as the result of a drug investigation. The Multi Agency Narcotics Squad said in a news release the three were arrested on Dean Street in Gainesville by agents from the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Gainesville Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Hall County Animal Control. Six of 51 guns discovered by TSA agents at airports around the country from 8/14 through 8/20/15. OK, so there's some disagreement over whether or not the main protagonist-that is, the one who shot a hole in himself-in our title story this week was actually "guarding" a self-proclaimed "Muslim-free" gun shop from supposed threats, or whether he was just a "friend" who had come to help repair a door.
